Features
What to expect: A favorite site for television shows, the resort features a lobby graced by a massive stone fireplace. A 30-foot-high window wall faces narrow Squaw Valley's meadows, guarded by rugged granite mountains. A private chairlift provides ski-in, ski-out access to Squaw Valley's entire 4,000 skiable acres. Amenity highlights: Offering panoramic meadow and mountain views, an expansive "water garden" pool terrace features four spas, plus a children's pool, a 75-foot swimming pool, and a pool at the end of a 120-foot water slide. Included in the resort's 195 acres is a championship golf course running up the mountain and bordering the valley's meadows. In winter, a 60-by-90-foot outdoor ice skating rink forms naturally on a terrace above the pool complex. Insider tip: An Ethernet network furnishes high-speed wireless Internet connections for laptop computers nearly anywhere on the property—yes, even outdoors.

| Arrived on a fri afternoon, beautiful hotel, beautiful location and checked out the room, forest view suite, very nice with fully equipted kitchen. Stopped by the grocery store on the way in and were set for the weekend. Very nice, went on the rounds to check the place out and were met what seemed to be a convention of rich old disaproving corspes and were practically snobbed to death, bad 1st impression but by the next morning they all had cleared out and the whole atmosphere did a total turnaround. Pool is only 3 1/2' deep and full of screaming children in the day but wonderful at night! Check out the local attractions phamphets by the elevators and would highly recommend the white water raft tour, Boca run. We had a blast! Lots of fun stuff to do in the summer and will return to check this place out this winter. Beautiful surroundings!

| The hotel staff from the valet to the housekeeping were pleasant and helpful. The room was nice, comfortable bed, ample amenities in room(except no fan in bathroom). We enjoyed the village for pizza, the hike from base of squaw creek to Shirley Lake and up to gondola at top was difficult but the most amazing hike we have ever been on. White water rafting was a highlite. The massage topped off the trip but a little to be desired with the ambiance for the price paid and the receptionist offered very little customer service options...bathrooms, key for locker....disapoinitng to say the least compared to all other staff on location but overall highly recommend the experience of Squaw Peak Resort....

| The Hotel is very clean, we stayed in a one bedroom/forest view, with kitchenette. Beds are very comfortable, with two flat panel TV's... The Hotel is about 5 minutes(summer) from the olympic village, which has great places to eat. Shopping however, is very pricey at the olympic village. I would stay at Squaw again..

| The hotel is pricey but the rooms and surrounding are spectacular if you like the mountains. I would like to return during the winter months. I recommend asking for a Forest View Room for all visits. Costs a bit more but worth the extra. Service slow at the restaurant for the breakfast buffet.

| Our first visit to the Tahoe area and we were very please with the accommodations. From the view of the valley, the outdoor heated pools, to the casual venues for eating. The entire stay was exactly what we were hoping for on our anniversary. Every detail was anticipated and met by the staff. Bravo!

| Lovely hotel in a great location (has its own lift to Squaw). 2 minor negatives: (1) service isn't quite up to par with the quality of the hotel; and (2) room renovation should have included in room safes -- only option when skiing is to risk leaving stuff in your room or go through the hassle of using the safe deposit box behind the front desk.

| I stayed at the hotel with a firm understanding of the cost of a room, and the dining choices I would likely have. What I am wondering is how a place can be so pricey, and offer nothing more than clean rooms and a view. What ever happened to customer satisfaction. I got unfriendly staff. I was never catered to on any individual basis for a particular need. People just pointed to policy when I asked for something. I entered a restuarant at 9:55PM, and was told the kitchen closes at 10pm. Where I come from, they would put that order in. It's what they are being paid for. When asked about activities around the area, the concierge looked upon us with condescension, as if using their ski lift should be enough. She was not helpful in telling us about the area or offering suggestions. A great place for people not looking for options, excitement, adventure, or anything unplanned. You get whats in the pamphlet, nothing more. Don't stray from convention here; you won't be welcomed.

| Very nice room, standard room with 2 queen size beds is a bit small with 4 people in the room. Bathroom does not have a lock or an exhaust fan. Linens and mattresses were awesome.
