The hotel’s fitness center includes a sauna along with cardiovascular and weight-training machines. A free shuttle takes guests to Reagan National Airport, the nearby Metro station, and the Pentagon City Mall. Features
What to expect: The hotel’s 630 rooms are contained in two towers linked by a busy mezzanine that holds the registration and activity/recreation desks along with a café, express coffee shop, and lobby bar. Business guests hurry to meetings at the Pentagon or nearby office buildings, and vacationers hop the free shuttle to the Metro station, just three stops from the museums of the National Mall. The friendly staff contributes to a welcoming atmosphere.

Amenity highlights: The hotel has perhaps the most happening roof in the greater D.C. area: The circular Skydome Lounge makes a complete revolution every 45 minutes, giving cocktail-sipping guests a full view of National Airport, the monuments of Washington, and northern Virginia. The Windows over Washington restaurant is stationary, but its picture windows offer a great view. And an indoor rooftop pool has a skylight and windows that overlook the Pentagon.

Insider tip: Just three stops from the Crystal City station on Metro’s Blue Line is Arlington National Cemetery. This famous 200-acre site includes the Tomb of the Unknowns, the grave site of John F. Kennedy, memorials to the nation’s military heroes, and headstones that chronicle American history.

Windows Over Washington - This elegant rooftop restaurant serves modern Continental cuisine for dinner. The most dramatic feature of the marble-walled dining room is the view of Washington’s monuments through the large picture windows. The menu includes classics such as filet mignon and lobster along with innovative fare, and offers several reasonable prix fixe options.

Café Express - Guests can grab quick, light meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Café Restaurant - This casual restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a dining room decorated in rich blue and red tones with pleasant, soft lighting.

Skydome Lounge - Billed as the Washington area’s only revolving rooftop lounge, the Skydome makes a complete revolution every 45 minutes. The lounge has a small dance floor with colored lights and mirrored ball, and karaoke has been known to break out during happy hour.

Our family enjoyed our stay. The food at The Cafe was wonderful and met the needs of a 3yr. old to adult. I would have like a small notebook or something in my room giving my the list of ammeneties available to me (ie, laundry, health club).

This was an excellent hotel. All of the service, from the housekeeping to the bar, were perfect. I was very impressed that such a huge hotel was so clean and professionally maintained. And the Expedia price was excellent.

Although we only stayed one night at the end of our travels, the hotel was a just what we hoped for. The service was good, the rooms were clean and very nice, comfortable beds, and good food in the restaurant. Free shuttle to the airport was very convenient.

Hotel was in a great location to tour DC 10 minute walk to the metro. They had a great, friendly, helpful staff. Amazing view from the rotating resturant. It is a bit of a walk to any resturants in Crystal City, but not terrible.

This hotel had facilities (restaurant, concierge, etc.) but the quality of the rooms was much to be desired. It was dirty, old and even though we paid for extra people, we were not given extra towels, etc.

On a return trip from Belize to our home in ME we had an overnight stay in DC. The shuttle arrived pretty quickly to pick us up at the airport and checkin was easy. We had reserved a room with a king bed, but found ourselves in a room with 2 double beds. We were too tired to request a change. Breakfast in AM in hotel cafe was very good with prompt service.

Many times when I went to get my car no one was available to give me my keys or take them upon my return. That was frustrating. The food was not the best. My first dinner was over done meat, cold mashed potatoes, and spinach au gratin with no cheese. I wasn't charged for it, but I was still hungry and frustrated when I left. It would also be nice to have a fridge in the room.
