| A real nice place to stay just off of I40. It's easy to find and next to the Denny's. Their continental breakfast was nice too.

| I've stayed at LaQuintas all around the U.S. and this was one of the worst ones I've ever stayed at. I would rate it a 2 out of 10.

| Turning into this motel was tricky - you have to go into the Taco Bell parking lot. Although the motel was very nice, the many rooms border the parking lots for various eating establishments and so it's a bit noisy. Great breakfast!

| The hotel was full as evacuees from the Texas Gulf Coast fleeing Hurricane Rita were arriving. Amarillo was opening shelters to house those who couldn't find hotel rooms. As overwhelmed as the La Quinta staff must have been, the staff was extremely courteous and did not take any obvious shortcuts (e.g., failing to clean the rooms or the public areas properly).

| The room was fine, besides the leaky faucet and scummy bathtub. However, it was the continental breakfast the morning of our departure that set the tone for our stay. We arrived to the lobby where tables and chairs were arranged, but everything was dirty. The tables, the floors and the chairs had crumbs of food and splashes of beverage all over them. The continental breakfast had been ransacked the night before by a volleyball team, but the hotel staff did not find it necessary to clean up after them or restock the food which they had taken. It was a complete disappointment. The juices didn't even taste good. They tasted like colored water. Overall, not impressed with the hotel staff's lack of motivation to leave a good impression on its guests.

| The desk clerk when we checked in at 5:15 am was the most upbeat clerk that I've ever delt with. The hotel is in a very high traffic area, but the rooms were very welcoming.
