| This hotel was nice for the price. It was being renovated at the time, so it will probably be even better in a couple of months. Metro is nearby and was safe to park/ride into Washington DC. Restaurants and shopping were also nearby for easy access. Would book here again.

| The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is in good shape. The location is not unsafe, and is just south of D.C. Food is nearby. This is not a four star hotel, but if you are looking for economy near D.C., this is a great deal. The negative during our experience: our first room smelled like dirty mop water. After we switched, the second room smelled less like dirty mop water. The second room was at least tolerable.

| Service very good and room comfort and cleaniness just fine, but there was remodeling/construction in the lobby and hotel restaurant which was naturally detracting. You do need your own transportation, and no internet connection.

| 05/18/2006 Great folks (friendly, courteous and concerned), but hotel management lets them down! Because they should make sure that the rooms are clean, and construction does not effect the customers. The bathroom in the first room we were given had a really pungent urine odor, so we rejected it. Second room was much better/cleaner, (and was a no smoking room, which is what I originally booked) and more or less what you would expect for the price. The restaurant was in reformation, and they were therefore using a part of the bar, so we could not eat there with our children, which meant that even though it was late, we were tired and I had driven 7 hours, we had to leave the hotel and search out a restaurant (there were plenty close, but I should not have had to go looking) Also, the free continental breakfast the next morning was on temporary tables, and poorly organized (Oh, and when will all hotels realize that a continental breakfast includes sliced meats and cheeses?). BUT, despite the issues, I would recommend this hotel, as a reasonably priced hotel, minutes from downtown Washington by car, but ONLY after the construction work is finished; and make sure you check out the room before you take all your bags, wife and children up there! For my part, I felt that given that the restaurant was basically unavailable to us, and the hotel was not at 100%, I should not have had to pay 100%! So, a reserved recommendation then for this basic reasonably priced hotel.

| The people that worked for Best Western were very nice. I don't think I have had better service. The hotel is only 10 mins outside of D.C and is right off of 95.

| We found the Best Western to be a suitable hotel for our stay in the DC area. The staff was incredibly friendly--a bit more laid back than I thought east coast people would be, but accommodating. There were three dissappointments: 1. The hotel was not accessable by public transportation--cab or limo fare into DC was $40. each trip ($80 round trip). I found this to be excessive esp. since it was only 17 miles outside of the city. 2. I dropped my suit for the in house cleaners to pick up on Friday and asked that it be ready for my by Sunday. I didn't get any notice, yet it was handed back to me Saturday at midnight upon my return to the hotel with an explaination that "they just didn't pick up". Strange. Where I come from, the Concierge would have taken the initiative to take care of it. I had to hang it in the shower and press it with a press cloth. It nearly ruined my suit. 3. The maid service didn't always make up the room. It was strange to come back to a room still in the same order you left it in.

| I have stayed in a Best Western Hotel before but this was the worse. The bathroom was terrible I was scared to take a shower. I will have to think about if I want to stay at another Best Western again.

| It is dirty and a lot of the staff are untrained and uncaring. Check your room to see if it was cleaned from the last guest.

| The beds had trash under them which you could see when you pulled back the covers. When they refreshed our room they did not throw any cups or things like that. They only gave us decaf coffee and left two towels in the room when we had four people staying in there. All they did was make the beds and replenish the toiletries and towels. Although they did do something great for us. We had lost our camera in the hotel the night before we left and had left our business card with them in case they found it and low and behold they found it and returned it to us which we are most grateful for. But, the maintenance person did come in to adjust the toilet and had said his car had been stolen out of the parking lot for the third time.
