Features
What to expect: Opened in 1990, the Radisson SAS is made up of several renovated 18th-century merchant houses, a mill and a vicarage, all connected by a modern, glass atrium lobby. The hotel has conference rooms and dedicated business services, but leisure travelers also enjoy the hotel’s central, but quiet location in the historic district, within easy walking distance of major sights, shopping, and entertainment. Amenity highlights: The hotel lobby features a mezzanine garden under the glass atrium where guests can relax, and a business corner featuring a computer station and printer, wireless Internet connections, and a large selection of international business journals and magazines. Monitors at the hotel entrance show real-time airport departure information. Insider tip: Ask the hotel concierge about shows at the Carré, Amsterdam’s oldest theatre opened in 1887 as the Royal Oscar Carré Circus. Today it’s known for hosting popular musicals such as Cats and Les Miserables.
The Palmboom - This informal, brasserie style restaurant serves a full American buffet breakfast daily, as well as international cuisine and à la minute grill specialties for lunch and dinner. Pastorie Bar - The Pastorie Bar is located off the main lobby in a former 18th-century vicarage building, with original wooden floors, fireplace mantle, traditional Dutch windows overlooking the street, and black leather club chairs. Open nightly with a selection of international beers, wines, cocktails, and light snacks.

| Excellent location with easy access to all points of the city. Quiet area at night. Hotel decor is a bit dated, but our room was immaculately clean.

| I was in Europe for business and decided to make the most of being halfway around the world, and I booked a little weekend for me and a buddy of mine to visit one of my all time favorite city's. The Raddisson SAS featured spacious hotel rooms (for Europe), great and helpful staff, good room service, and heated bathroom floors. A well run hotel, with employees that do their jobs with pride. It was a pleasure to stay there.

| We loved this hotel. THe location is very convinient within walking distance to many Amsterdam attractions and public transportation. The room was fairly large and very clean. The hotel provides free wireless Internet access in rooms and common areas. Concierges were really helpful. We would definitely stay in this hotel again next time we visit Amsterdam.

| My family stayed at the Radisson SAS for 5 nights. Our rooms were clean with every convenience (iron, ironing board, safe, make-up mirror and hair dryer) available. The beds were comfortable and they provided plenty of towels. We used the restaurant (the breakfast buffet with fresh squeezed o.j. was a hit) and room service and found the food to be lekker.

| Stayed at SAS Radisson in March 2006. Great central location - it was easy to walk to any area in Amsterdam. The hotel itself was perfect - very clean, well maintained, and the staff were very helpful. The hotel has a typical over-priced breakfast - we skipped it and found tons of places to eat at. Would definitely use this hotel again.
