| Service was great. A bellman took our bags to our room without having to ask. The room was comfortable...fairly decent sized for Tokyo. This is the only Hotel that we stayed at in Japan that English-language CNN...which was also the only English channel they had. The hotel is a bit out-dated, but renovations are underway on a limited scale. It would have been nice to have an internet terminal in the lobby like other Japanese hotels somtimes offer. Calling overseas from the hotel room was much more expensive than from the other hotels we stayed at, but it still wasn't dramatic from an American perspective. The hotel is in a pretty good location with some decent restaurants and shops nearby. There is a metro station about a half a block away.

| I stayed here for 18 nights. The hotel lives up to the high ratings, but may not be ideal for leisure travel. The good... For ;ocation, it's a great choice. Under 5 minutes to Kudanshita station. From there, you can get just about anywhere in Tokyo with just 1 transfer (if any). The central and easy to find location also makes it reasonable to walk back after the subways close for the night. (I did that several nights.) The staff was very friendly and spoke English well. I had no problems communicating with anyone. (My Japanese is terrible, at best.) The rooms are large and comfortable. If you just want to spend a rainy afternoon reading or checking out local TV, you won't mind being there. If you get an upper floor, the view is fabulous. Both day and night, it was worth taking a few minutes to enjoy. The bad... As a business hotel, it's pricier than some other options in the city. This time, I chose to pay the higher amount for some extra comfort. However, there's so much to do in Tokyo, I spent little time in the room so it seemed a bit wasteful. No in-hotel laundry room. (The hotel offers a laundry service, but the price isn't practical.) The nearest laundry is 20 minutes away. That's sounds pretty close- until you're trying to cart clothes both ways. This one was a big deal for me since I prefer to travel light and do laundry as necessary. All in all, a very nice place, just remember it is a business hotel and make sure that's what you're after.

| The hotel was great. Good location downtown, the staff was extremely friendly and extremely helpful. Out time in Tokyo wouldn't have been half as good without the help from their staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

| The Grand Palace hotel is in a very convenient location. The subway is very close. There are so many little shops, especially food. The Family Mart is a very good place to shop for odds and ends.

| The Grand Palace lived up to its ratings. The staff was very helpful, the rooms nicely furnished and not too small. It is walking distance from the Imperial Palace and Gardens and also on the route for the Narita Express bus. The only downside might be that it is not in the center of the action, but there are many neighborhood restaurants nearby and it's very close to a subway stop so easy to get to other areas of the city.
