Windjammer is located in a very scenic location. I love the layout of the resort. There is a lot of privacy, if that's what you are after, a people person would have a lot to enjoy as well. Having said that, I would recommend it as for a honeymoon or a terrific place for the entire family.

Should I have known about the hill walking conditions to and from the beach I would have choosen a different resort. The windows did not shut all the way and the bathroom was open to the outside which allowed all types of bugs and critters to come into our villa. You could not just go to a restaurant and eat you had to track all the way down to the resort office to make a reservation. The only good experience was the staff, they were very kind and eager to serve you.

We went to Windjammer Landing,in mid April 2006. We had an amazing 5 days there. The hotel was beautiful, the villa was everything we could have pictured and better. Everything was clean, and the people that worked there were attentive and extremely friendly. We sat at the beach each day. The weather was beautiful. We did the all-inclusive plan, and it worked out great. We just signed the bill and it was that easy. We would 100% reccomend Windjammer, It seemed especially catered towards families. Overall, it was a great, relaxing, wonderful vacation!

This hotel was better than I had ever expected. The accomodations were clean, light and airy, just like it should be in the Carribean. The people were gracious and helpful. My family and I will certainly be back.

The Windjammer is a fantastic place to stay while visiting St. Lucia. It was the perfect resort for those who like a quiet vacation on a beautiful part of the island. We had a very warm welcome after a long flight and drive to the hotel. They greeted us with a drink and a very quick check-in.There was quite a walk up-hill. But that gave us a fantastic work-out when we wanted to walk and there was a shuttle always available when we wanted to get to our room quickly. The terraced villas are what give you the amazing views! Initially, we were booked for an ocean view room. It was small but adequate. It rained heavily two nights in a row and some water leaked into the room. We just wanted to let the resort know about the leak for the future...we weren't complaining at all. They immediately upgraded us to a fabulous villa with a living room, kitchen, and an AMAZING view! The staff was extremely attentive and seemed to want to make your visit as pleasant as possible. The rooms were clean and had everything you needed to be comfortable. Every evening they had some sort of entertainment. The restaurants were good. Our waiters gave us excellent advice about what to do and see.

In March 2006 there is alot of very loud construction going on due to villas sliding down the very steep hillside this resort is built on. Beautiful resort though somewhat rustic (rooms are always open to outside allowing many birds and mosquitos in villa). Island is very beautiful, with mountains and dense jungle. Nothing but great things to say about people working at resort. You will see the most incredible sunsets from your patio.

I just got back from vacation and wanted to spread the word about Windjammer. While nothing is perfect, we loved our stay there. The food was great and the staff was very attentive and kind. There are tons of activities for children and it is in a very unique location. The villas are set on a hillside and hard to walk to, but the shuttle service was incredible. We stayed in a Oceanview room and were lucky to have a beautiful view. Almost all rooms and villas have a spectacular view. My advice is to bring some bug spray for the evenings and take advantage of the trips and tours. Also, it is worth buying the all inclusive meal plan. Plan on going between the months of January and April...March is optimal. Any later and you hit the rainy season.

I would definitely recommend the Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort to anyone else interested in going to St. Lucia. It was so beautiful and the food there was phenomenal. From the minute you walk in the resort to check in, you are greeted and given a complimentary drink of your choice. Everything is explained in a kind and professional manner. They offer a free shuttle service anytime you want to step out of your villa, for anywhere on the property. I like the fact that everything is open, there are no real walls, except in your room. The fact that it's open, no matter if you're in the lobby or in any of their great restaurants, you can still enjoy the lovely island breezes and nature that's all around you. We had a two-bedroom villa, one room upstairs, the other down. The view from your balcony is breathtaking, in fact we had a deck for the downstairs room, a balcony for our upstairs room, with an additional private balcony leading with stairs from the other balcony. Some rooms have their own plunge pool, and of course don't forget the three other main pools plus a hot tub on the property. All and all we know we will return to this wonderful resort.

We chose to stay at the Windjammer for our honeymoon from October 9th-15th. We flew into the small Castries Airport. From talking with other at the resort we made a really good choice in doing this. We only had a 15min ride to the resort where others had almost a 2 hour ride from the south end of the island. On our arrival we were quickly checked in and taken to our villa without a plunge pool. It was late and we were not able to really see the resort and the views at the time. That led to an amazing experience the next morning when we woke up and were able to look out the windows. The views of the ocean, resort and countryside were incredible. I could not have imagined a better view. The villas were nice and spacious. The bedroom was the only room that had AC, so that was a little different but it was not a problem. Most everything on the island was open air but with a fairly constant breeze we were never really hot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The grounds were very well kept. They were performing some maintenance in areas but it was not enough to bother us. I guess because it is the off-season. We would definitely recommend this resort and hope to be able to visit it again someday.
