What to expect: This 12-story hotel, just a block from the Potomac River, has a two-story lobby and riverfront rooms for scenic views. Business and leisure travelers feel equally at home in this property. Amenity highlights: The Radisson offers in-room high-speed Internet access for a flat daily rate, rather than a per-minute charge. Guests enjoy free use of the heated indoor pool at the Holiday Inn two blocks west, and indoor and outdoor hotel parking eliminates hassles with street parking. Insider tip: To really see Old Town Alexandria, take a one-hour history tour, regularly scheduled on weekend evenings from late March through early November, and at other times by appointment. There are lore and legends here that even most residents don't know about.

| Poor quality staff and service. the room smeeled like an overused locker room and there is no room service in the evening after 9 or 10. They charge $12 a night for an unsecure parking lot which was never disclosed and they charge excessively for local calls. Excessive charging like that for very little service just seems desperate.

| For the price I paid, I could not have asked for anything better. Great service, clean room, and no problems with the front desk.

| The hotel overall is very nice. It has many rooms that overlook the river which is very nice. In addition, it is quite being somewhat removed from the heart of the town if one is looking for a little peacefulness during the stay and yet close enough to get to Old Towne (10 blocks)

| I was impressed with the room, the view and it was within walking distance of Alexandria's old town. We found a nice booklet in our room and followed its walking tour and had a great time.

| Strictly utilitarian hotel that's fine if you are interested in value. Parking is extra. Location is on outskirts of Old Town Alexandria, i.e., be prepared to walk 8 or 9 blocks to restaurants, Metro, et. al.
