Features
What to expect: Home to a constantly evolving $2-million art collection, the hotel is as much a cultural experience as a place to stay. Business travelers appreciate the proximity to downtown, while vacationers enjoy the proximity to the myriad shops and restaurants of Robson Street. The hotel's restaurant and lounge have been local hot spots for almost 30 years. Amenity highlights: With its wealth of original art and sculpture—including First Nations' artifacts on loan from the Museum of Anthropology—the hotel's largest amenity is its art-gallery ambience. In addition to enjoying the culture, guests can exercise in the fitness center or soak in the atrium spa. An e-mail kiosk is located off the lobby, and guests enjoy complimentary admission to a more extensive fitness center three blocks away. Insider tip: The hotel is located on busy Robson Street, but just one block from the residential streets of the West End, an area dotted with gardens and small parks, and perfect for strolling.
O'Doul's Restaurant and Bar - A longtime favorite haunt on the gourmet circuit, this restaurant is home to one of Vancouver’s most extensive wine lists and offers live jazz every night of the week.

| We really enjoyed this hotel on a recent visit to Vancouver. It's in a great location, we walked to Stanley Park, Gastown, Yaletown and Granville Island. The staff was very accommodating and the O'Douls restaurant had some great live music in the evenings when we returned from our explorations.

| We picked this hotel after researching all of the alternatives on Expedia. The reviews we read were excellent and our experience confirmed the reviews. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the room was comfortable. The valet service had our car ready and waiting whenever we needed it. Our room was on the 5th floor facing Robson but noise was no problem at all. The hotel's location is about as good as you can get in Vancouver.

| Service The front desk was slow, unhelpful, and rude. Valet service was expensive (but the valets were friendly and quick - which is what I would expect for the money/tip spent). Room The room seemed a bit tired and worn out. Bathroom was small and dark.

| Outstanding service distinguishes the Listel from other hotels. Staff--front desk, restaurant, bar -- go out of their way to ensure that visitors to Vancouver get the most from their trip. Never too busy to assist, make recommendations, and follow up on guests' experiences, they set the standard for service. The room was comfortable, very nicely appointed, and surprisingly sound proof. The beds were very comfortable and combined with the black-out drapes and soundproofing, made for a great night's rest. Though the bathroom was a little shy on counter space, it was highly functional. The restaurant was good, the bar better, and the entertainment (jazz that week) was great.

| The staff was extremely accomodating, helping us with dinner and brunch reservations, directions, helpful tips, and the phone number of the police after my purse was lifted from a local eatery. Our room was spacious and the hotel was quiet. My only complaint is that the light fixtures by the beds were not securing fastened to the wall and the toilet was not properly seated so it wobbled when in use, even by my 4 year old. But overall, I was still pleased with the hotel.

| It is located on Robson Street, the central thoroughfare of Vancouver and within easy reach of all major attractions and shopping. The staff are well trained and efficient. O'Douls, which is in the hotel, offers great food at good prices. We would definitely stay there again.
