This is an old hotel (1890s), well maintained, with attractive, large rooms, that provides a good and friendly service. The Curzon restaurant is reminiscent of the days of the Raj, when the Maidens was at the heart of Delhi. Now, it is a bit out of the way, and not an ideal location for who has business in New Delhi. But for the traveller who will spend time in Old Delhi, the Maidens is a lovely place to be based in.

Isolated and overpriced. Spend just a little more and lap up the luxury at another higher end and better situated hotel. Or, spend half the money and get a similar experience at another of Delhi's many excellent mid-range hotels. The food is a notch below mediocre and priced to Western standards. The bed IS comfy, though, and the room spacious. But is it worth it? Not in my opinion.
