The hotel and service are just as wonderful as they were 5 years ago on my last visit. Very convenient to restaurants, shops, and, of course, the sights. The staff are very professional and helpful.

We traveled in August with 2 children. The hotel was close enough to most major attractions to walk to them in a.m. and return to hotel for a swim & jacuzzi break before heading out again. It worked wonders with the kids (adults, too)! The fitness center (limited to adults)is very nice with new equipment. Service was prompt and polite. The guests were a good mix of business travelers and families. The hotel was managed well and we never had to worry about the kids being too loud. Nice restaurants abound (ESPN Zone has a game room kids love, but pricey) and 2 food courts and Starbucks are almost right around the corner from the hotel for less expensive options. The Metro is a short walk away. We will stay there again. Our family had a great time in DC. The hotel's location and amenities were a big part of that experience.

This was a great spot for us to stay while touring Washington, DC. It was centrally located so that we could park our car with the valet and walk or take the Metro everywhere we wanted to go. It's nice to be so close to the monuments and museums because in the hot DC weather we could come back and take a break before venturing out again. Also easy to get early morning tickets to sights that required them.

This was my first stay at this hotel. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. Location was excellent, near most DC sites. Had problem with check-in to the room requested. Front desk promised the room to be ready on 4 different occasions and room was not ready until 9 pm that night. I asked to speak to manager 3 times, but could never get the manager to the front desk. As a frequent traveler, I was shocked at the lack of front desk service.

This is a great hotel for families! In addition to being close to the attractions, there's a nice indoor pool to keep the kids occupied during down time. The hotel is beautiful with clean, luxurious rooms. The kids loved the view from our room of the Washington Monument, and of the planes taking off and landing at the airport. The hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. It was a little more expensive than many of the others on the list, but it was well worth the extra few dollars.

This hotel turned out to be better than I expected. Upon walking into the room, I was pleasantly surprised at the plush and comfortable bed. It had many pillows and a soft and light white comforter - which provided an extremely comfortable night sleep! Since I'm always looking for more pillows, the sight of so the many pillows on the bed was a decided plus. The flat-screen TV was another added feature (although with so much to do in DC, there wasn't much time to use it). The bathroom was spacious and clean, with plenty of soft, clean towels. I also was able to sample their breakfast during my stay and found the service and quanlity of food to be very satisfying with many selections to choose from. The service from all ofo the staff was also outstanding - all were cheerful and helpful to provide directions and suggestions when possible. When I visit Washington again, I will definitely plan to stay at the JW Marriott again!
