    Features
What to expect: This hotel’s roomy lobby, furnished with stuffed chairs and upholstered sofas, doubles as an art gallery with changing exhibits by emerging local artists. The hotel, which is entirely smoke-free, caters to business and leisure travelers, as well as guests who appreciate its proximity to several major hospitals.

Amenity highlights: Within the larger hotel complex is the Longwood Galleria mall with its diverse dining options, specialty shops, ATM banking, beauty salon, and chemical-free dry cleaning. Access to the neighboring FITCORP Athletic Club is available to guests at a discount.

Insider tip: Two of Boston’s finest museums are within three blocks of the hotel. Besides the well-known Museum of Fine Arts, there is the eclectic Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, a recreation of a Venetian villa featuring paintings, drawings, and sculptures collected by its late patron. Among the artwork are paintings by Titian and John Singer Sargent.

Longwood Grille & Bar - Mosaic-tiled mirrors, large leafy plants, and funky blue light fixtures that dangle from the ceiling contribute to this restaurant’s lively atmosphere. In addition to daily specials and a weekend buffet, a children’s menu and heart-healthy meals are available. A flat-screen TV overlooks a sleek bar in the built-in lounge, where microbrews are on tap and libations are served until 1:30 AM.

A little cramped is an understatement. They put the four of us in a single room with a double bed for my wife and 12 yr old twin daughters and cot that was at least 50 years old.

I've stayed here before for Sox games, and it appears they've remodeled. Previously the rooms had been clean but a little worn for the price. This visit, I had a newly carpeted and furnished room. I'll definitely be back...

No frills, but clean and the staff was friendly. Perfect location for visiting medical facilities. Restaurant food was disappointing.

Unless you absolutely have to be across the street from Boston Childrens Hospital, stay at one of the other hotels that the hospital recommends. Our toilet did not work, the room was dingy and dirty. I've stayed at hotels at 1/4 the price that were much better. Another guest that I met in the elevator had to change rooms 3 times before they found a room where the air-conditioning worked. I would avoid this hotel if you can.

Its cleaning crew was impressive. My room was sparkly clean everyday during my 4 day long stay. It is also in the great location. Only 2 miles to major business area in the Boston's downtown. The hotel is directly connected to the food court that has a variety of fast food restaurants. Great place to stay for a business trip to Boston.

The hotel itself is fine, especially if you need to stay near the major Boston hospital complex (Beth Israel, Brigham, Children's, etc.). When my wife called me, they denied that I was a guest, although I had checked in hours before. I ordered room service 3 times - once, virtually everything was wrong; once only partly wrong; once they got it essentially right, although they never seemed able to add lemon slices on the side when I requested them with my water, and they even repeated the order over the phone - just did not bring them. They generally responded quickly to remedy each situation, although one night I waited for 15 minutes or more for a soup spoon. Bottom line - eat in the restaurant itself, rather than using room service. There also is a food court within the building, with a wide variety of fast food. The hotel is clean, very convenient for the hospitals, and not too far from Fenway Park. I would stay there again for business at the hospitals. There is a parking garage right there.

if your looking for a close place to fenway , its fine and near the longwood D and longwood E train stops - very dark hallways to rooms , room was fine , great access to the enclosed mini mall - free wi-fi was a plus but you had to know how to get to their router to get the service - that part needs a little work
