| We stayed two nights at the Century Plaza in Shenzhen, and were very pleased with the accommodations. Most adequate for the price! The staff was very helpful and responsive to our requests, and all tried to help us when we asked for directions to a nearby Indian restaurant we were told to try! (We found it and it was wonderful Indian food!) It was about five blocks to the large shopping area in Lowu, and conveniently located one block from McDonalds! The bank is right next door, and we were comfortable walking around the area day and night. We even used their clean outdoor pool, and enjoyed having it all to ourselves! I was concerned, having read some negative comments after my booking, but must stress that it was a very pleasant stay...clean, comfortable, and without hassles. Would we stay there again? Most definitely!

| My first experiences of Shenzhen were not positive so the superlative service of the staff here was doubly welcome. I had broken my spectacles on the flight from Australia and asked the young man who checked me in where I could have them repaired. He began to give directions, then said that he would take me to the optical shop when his shift was finished. I was cautious as we walked about twenty minutes from the hotel but finally there was the shop and he wouldn't leave until he had provided me with the name of the hotel and the address written in Chinese characters in case I became lost on the way home. When I tried to press some money on him for the kindness, he refused indignantly. In thirty years of travelling I've never met with such kindness from a young person working in a hotel. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, quiet and well located. I was mighty impressed!

| Walking distance from the worlds best shopping! We were very pleased with the hotel and staff. Good rates. Very secure place to stay.
