| Nice hotel. It was clean and I didn't run into any cockroaches (as I was expecting from the past reviews). The staff was very pleasant. Very convenient because it's close to the beach and marketplace. Just don't expect luxury.

| The hotel was clean and pleasant. While my room was clean and the serivce was good, my "city view" was a slum apartment building about five feet away. Loved the free internet access. Overall, a good value for the money and good location.

| Nice little hotel not far from the beach - a little bit of road noise the first night, but a nice, clean, quiet little hotel with a friendly staff - complimentary continental breakfast delivered to your room was a very nice touch.

| This hotel is small and quaint, and it's in a terrific location -- a short walk to Waikiki and Kalakaua Ave (the main street). The staff was really nice and the lobby was nicely decorated. But I was expecting a bit more of the room due to the photos on Expedia. You could tell they had updated the place by painting, adding crown molding and using modern-looking furniture and wall photos. However, our couch was torn a bit and the kitchen wasn't updated. You could still see a few cracks in the walls. Also, I walked into the room and smelled a strong ammonia smell -- eventually it faded away. We stayed for 5 nights and ended up using the fridge and stove -- everything worked fine. There had been a long spell of rains before we came (and 3 days of our stay), so perhaps that contributed to the funny smell. I still liked the convenience of the location and overall, the hotel was decent.

| We contacted hotel for room & got the penthouse for a few $s more. Lobby was clean ,nicly decorated. front desk had well informed, friendly employees. Penthouse was slightly out dated carpet needs good cleaning or replaced. Kitchen could have been cleaned better, refrigerator had problems with ice maker and water dispencer.Other than these minor things the penthouse was a great choice. we didnt use the pool but thought it was very nice alittle small, but not over crowded do to location to the beach and there was a BBQ grill for use in the pool area. For the overall value and quality for that value I would highly recommend this hotel. two blocks from beach but the buses that travel by could be heard all hours of the night not loudly but we were on the 15th floor.
