| This hotel was very spacious, which made it a great choice for families. The rooms are a bit worn out though, and need a make over. In addition, the staff is not overly helpful. If you need a place that offers you more than one bedroom with a full kitchen and living space and are not picky about your surroundings, this is definitely the place.

| The rooms are very spacious and the hotel is located in a lovely neighborhood in an historic part of Columbia. There are several nice restaurants that one can safely walk to at night. Other than the upholstered furniture needing to be cleaned or replaced, it was nice overall.

| Really enjoyed the place. 2 Bedroom suite was so roomy - like having one's own condo. Private balcony was a nice touch. Great having a full kitchen as well. There were shops and places to eat nearby. Pretty neighborhood. Have already booked a return stay. It is a bit farther away from the University than I had hoped; but it is such a nice place, that I'm willing to trade distance for ambiance. Breakfast buffet was okay, nothing to get excited about. Since we had the kitchen, there always was the option of preparing our own breakfast if we wanted to.

| Initially remodeled for condos, this hotel is a few blocks from the college bar scene. Furniture is a little on the old side, but the rooms are spacious, the staff friendly and the breakfast complimentary. I have stayed at many places on visits to Columbia, and I would recommend over all others for both business and recreational travel. One note: wireless internet only in the breafast area, cable lines in the rooms and no printer.

| This hotel looks great on the outside, however, inside it is shabby and dirty inside. Our suite had an unpleasant smell, the furniture is old, beat-up, dirty and shabby. A giant roach crawled across the wall for all to see. We asked for another suite, we were changed to a duplicate of the first room. We would never recommend this hotel to anyone, ever! It is listed as having King beds, but only Queen and Twins available. We would have gone to another hotel but it was too late at night to start a search after traveling all day.

| I have stayed at this hotel several times and just love the overall feel of the place. The staff is always helpful. The rooms are old but clean and well maintained. The suites style atmosphere is very relaxing. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. There is a living room and full kitchen plus a washer and dryer. Each room has one or two balconies. The street it is on is loaded with great shops and places to eat. They allow dogs and the old tree lined streets gives me plenty of places to walk the dog.

| We were very impressed with Columbia's oldest hotel. The full kitchen, living room, two-bedroom suites have plenty of room to relax. Great place for an extended stay.

| While the rooms were in need of upgrading (furniture, bedding), the overall comfort level was fine. The hotel was nearby to fine restaurants, interesting shops. The employees were very courteous and friendly.
