The light-filled, two-story lobby has vast expanses of marble flooring and walls and comfortable seating areas. Most frequented by business travelers, it's also appropriate for families visiting the sights of Washington, D.C., and northern Virginia. Amenity highlights: The hotel offers complimentary, regularly scheduled shuttle service to and from the hotel and Reagan National Airport, Pentagon City Metro station, Pentagon City Mall, and the Pentagon. A rooftop pool with skylights is open all year, and an outdoor deck is open seasonally. Express check-in and checkout, a 24-hour business center with high-speed Internet access (fee), a 24-hour fitness center, and a multilingual staff are also available. Insider tip: The main entrance to Arlington Cemetery and the Women in the Military Service for America Memorial are less than 1 mile away. Towers Park, less than a half-mile away, has a lighted basketball court, tennis courts, picnic shelter, and a dog exercise area. It's open from sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset.
Potomac - Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in this large, well-lit restaurant, furnished with warm-colored woods and restful earth tones. | free shuttle service to metro station is big help for vacationers. Enclosed glass roof pool was great for relaxing. Elevator system between buildings was confusing and made it hard to find room.

| We arrived Sunday afternoon and realized that the World Youth Convention was taking place there. Nonetheless all was well for us on the 8th floor looking toward the Pentagon, Arlington and Fort Meyer area. Wonderful views of the Washington Monument, Capitol (5 miles away) and much more. Construction on the Air Force Memorial is taking place just down the road and you can see what looks like three blue french fries sticking up into the sky. Very convienent free shuttle running from early morning to 11PM gets you to Pentagon City Station... Pentagon City Centre is very nice shopping, food courts and just outside are restaurants as well. Much cheaper to eat at than at the hotel. This was a great location and having been to DC before I would rate this hotel at or above many that I have been to. We would try this hotel again if there.

| The Sheraton National is definitely overpriced and overrated. I have certain expectations when I stay at a Sheraton and they were not met. You have to pay additional to utilize their wireless as well. The only real positives were the concierge/shuttle drivers. They were very helpful. The front desk workers couldn't have cared less and they were not helpful. The only expected thing was that the smoking floor smells really bad. At some hotels it is not so bad, but this definitely wasn't one of them.

| The Sheraton National Hotel is convenient to all of DC's attractions; it's very clean and confortable. The shuttle bus from the Pentagon City metro stop was very important since it connected us to the city. The hotel staff was very accomodating and the roof-top pool was wonderful! (There's a great weekend brunch, too.)
