| We found the entire staff very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was a bit small, but it is a very old hotel. It was a very quaint and charming hotel. I would surely stay in this hotel if I were to visit Chicago again.

| The hotel was nice and clean, but could have used an upgrade in the bathroom. We had 4 people in our room and I found it a little small. Very close to Water Tower Mall.

| You can't beat the location with this hotel - close to the lakeshore, shopping and restaurants on Rush St. We had our young children with us and found the staff relatively accomodating. There were other young families there as well. I was just a little disappointed in that I had requested adjoining rooms, and the staff put a room inbetween us.

| Check in was easy, and efficient. The front desk staff was great. We took a smoking room, because we arrived early, and that was all they had available. As would be expected of a smoking room, it had a hint of lingering smoke (duh). The bathroom was small, and smelled like... well, like a bathroom would smell if you didn't bleach the toilet too well. However, the room, overall, was clean and the bed was comfortable. Since we were only a block of Michigan Ave., and a short walk from the nightlife we didn't spend a whole lot of time awake in our room. For those wanting a night cap after a long day in Chi-town I strongly recommend the bar in the lobby... courteous staff, great drinks, and there were always people there to strike up a conversation with. Great spot for the traveler that wants to experience Chicago, and have a comfortable place to come back to relax in at the end of your day.

| If you plan to stay at this hotel, pack sparsely. There are NO dressers/armoirs for clothes. Only place to keep any clothes is in the smallish closet. Room I stayed in with 2 double beds was cramped. On the plus side, great location with reasonably friendly staff. Good water pressure.

| This was a big let down. We arived in a private car, the bell hop didn't even attempt to get our luggage. Hotel was old and small. We had a jr. sweet and the room was horribly small, with a full size bed. Bathroom was a closet with only a standup shower no tub. No water pressure in the shower. Sink was chipped and cracked. We asked the maid to give us some clean towels and she said she didnt have any none were ever brought. Terrible hotel dont waste your money, hotel is a dump, with poor service.

| The room had a terrible musty smell. The air conditioning never cooled off the room, nor did it dry out the room. The bathroom was very small.

| The hotel is run down and not well kept. I had ants in my room and bathroom. There was also mildew/mold on the bathroom walls. The room was very small.
