| The combination of staying at a moderately-priced hotel that is situated directly on the water with a beautiful view and the convenience of having the hotel rest on the top floors of a wonderful and quaint shopping center. On the bottom two floors of the hotel, one can find botique-style shops with kids' clothes and toys, adults clothing, souvenier shops, and others. On the bottom floor is a wonderful market with an international food court and a fresh-food and fruit farmer's style market.

| The hotel is very conveniently located just off the SeaBus terminal and above the Lonsdale Quay marketplace, so it's easy to get back across to sightsee in downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park, etc. It's a little hard to find the elevators that go up to the hotel desk, but just ask someone in the marketplace. The rooms are pleasant, with a chic, understated decor. I didn't have too much need for particular service, except to ask about taxis, because I had hurt my knee and was concerned about moving my luggage. The front desk person said, oh, all the taxis are lined up in front, and cost to take taxi to Canada Place Pier would be around $15 (US). Actually, there were no taxis in sight, and the real cost for taxi is $25. Other than that, there were no problems. Desk clerk promptly mailed the eyeglasses I mistakenly left behind in my room.

| Great view from one of our rooms, no view from the other. Free internet was nice, rooms were comfy and clean and it was fabulous being above the market, so easy to run down and get pastries for breakfast or fruit and cheese to pack for lunch. If you can travel light on day trips, it's a great location. Park your car in the parking garage ($7 a day) and it's easy and cheap to catch the sea bus over to downtown. A transit day pass is $8 per person and lets you ride anywhere all day, on bus, sky train, or sea bus. The only downer: Price is high considering it was a simple hotel, and pretty noisey at night, with a crappy TV and no way to watch a movie. I know Vancouver is expensive, but it still seemed too much for what you're getting. But if you don't plan to spend much time in your room, and don't want to drive around Vancouver, it's a great location.

| Rooms are clean, but very old and cheap interior (hostel feel). Right next to the ferry - upside: you can take it to downtown; pleasant 10 minute drive; but pretty espensive, if you have more than 2 people, parking in downtown cheaper. downside: very, very load; the ferry honks each time it leaves the harbor (every 15 minutes between 6am and 11:30pm)

| Very comfortable hotel room. Quiet, spacious and great location. I enjoyed being on top of the market - makes it easy to get fresh meals without having to drive. Friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

| Lonsdale Quay was recommended to us. Beautiful, spacious room but not much of a view on the west side. Ask to be on the "tug boat side."

| This is the WORST PLACE I have stayed in Vancouver. First of all I ordered a non- smiking room. They gave us a smoking room that had been "deodarized". Then they wouldn't give us a different room. My mother passed away a month ago from lung cancer so this is a sore spot for me. The beds were super hard. So besides the rom stank, the beds were hard and terrible customer service it was an ok place to stay. But I would rather stay in my car that stay there again.

| Good value. If you don't mind taking the seabus (which is at your door and takes 15 minutes)you get a much better value than downtown. If you plan to drive into the city, however, I would recommend staying downtown; those bridges can be murder. Nice decor, bathrobes, bar fridge.
