Features
What to expect: This quiet, suburban hotel is popular with business travelers who have dealings in suburban Maryland and Washington, D.C., as well as with vacationers looking for convenient Metro access to Washington’s most popular sights. Rooms are clean and well-maintained, with large work desks.

Amenity highlights: Guestrooms feature a number of details for a comfortable stay—including pillowtop mattresses, adjustable desk chairs, and digital music on demand.

Insider tip: The Hilton Silver Spring is less than 1 mile from Rock Creek Park, Washington’s large chunk of urban wilderness, which contains miles of jogging and biking trails winding through woods and over the creek. Locals have been known to spend several days backpacking in the park; visitors can hail a cab at the park’s edge.

Capital Bleu Restaurant – This dining spot serves a combination of French and American cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The well-lit dining room is open to the lobby.

Sergio’s – A favorite with locals, Sergio’s serves Northern Italian fare for lunch and dinner. Understated décor includes murals and architectural renderings on the walls, and the tiramisu is highly recommended.

The room was very nicely appointed, but on the small side, like a New York City hotel. The hotel seems to offer only rooms with one king or two doubles, no queens. It did not have free high-speed internet service. The location is terrific, in the heart of the action of downtown Silver Spring, and very safe. You don't really need your car much, and it's a good thing because the valet-only parking is a bit slow, especially on weekends when weddings and other events clog the garage.

The hotel was very clean. They have an indoor pool and fitness center. My 7 yr old loved the pool. Everyone was very polite and offered suggestions on how to get to the city. The only thing that I did not like was waiting for the valet parking at times. This was only a problem around dinner time.

No hot water, toliet had no flushing pressure, bathroom missing light bulb, no towels in our room on arrival, room service order incorrect and charged anyways, slow valet service, doors leading to parking garage broken...overall poor experience given price for room and Hilton name. Very disappointing.
