| Admittedly, my expectations were low given what I'd read about their unrenovated rooms, but our room was perfectly clean and cheery. There was nothing "worn out" about either the room or the halls and certainly not about the lobby. Not having gone up to the renovated floors to see what we were missing, we felt as if we were missing very little. The only thing that looked clearly in need of updating was the bathroom, but even it was very clean and functional. Given that the hotel was priced well below other 4-star hotels in Istanbul, we thought it was more than a fair deal for us. It was also very convenient to our events in Besiktas and Ortakoy.
