| I had read other reviews and was a little anxious. But the location of this hotel was just what I was looking for, so I took a chance. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was helpful and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. And the best was that they had FREE WI-FI in the lobby, and FREE internet access with a cable in the room. Due to other reviews on Expedia, I asked for a quiet room, and they placed me at the end of the hall, beyond where they thought others might be congregating.

| This is in a bad neighborhood. People in the halls on the 4th floor..weeds growing up around. Hotel across the street is closed down. Don't go cheap in Oakland or you'll get a hotel like this.

| We stayed at this hotel on two separate nights : one on each end of our trip out of state. The first room was a bit rundown, but, except for the walls, was clean. The second night we were in a newly remodeled room which was very clean and pleasant. The hotel was quiet, easy to find, and offered resonable rates for parking our car while we were out of town. The airport shuttle also worked well for us.

| The room was in dire need of wall washing. The bathroom floor could have used a good scrubbing as well.

| I understand that to a certain degree "you get what you pay for" thus I didn't have expectations for anything beyond the basics for my stay at the relatively inexpensive Days Inn - Oakland. Room was standard and clean. Unfortunately, however, the service was poor. When I arrived for check-in, they made me wait for 15 minutes (though no one else was in line) while the shift changed. They also gave us a smoking room even though we had clearly requested a nonsmoking room in our reservation. They told us we could cancel without having to pay cancellation fee but were no help in trying to think about whether there was another place in the same cost category that might have nonsmoking available. We were leaving for the airport super early in the morning and called the front desk to ask about automatic check out. They told us we would still have to stop by the desk on our way out at 4:30 am, rather than just leave the key in the room and the credit card for the bill.

| This hotel is close to the Oakland airport, and less expensive than some others around. However, the service is somewhat mediocre, and the two Friday nights that I have stayed here there has been loud partying in some of the rooms late into the night.

| Purpose of staying in Oakland was that I was having to pick up several business associates and drop them back off at the airport on different dates and times. The room was decent, the service friendly. About what you would expect from an airport hotel. Not many good places to eat close by, however Francescas down the street is an American/Italian place that was fantastic. The wireless internet in the hotel would be my only major complaint. They charge ten dollars a day for access, and that is rather...not a good thing. Anyway, if you don't plan on spending alot of time in the hotel room, it's a good place to stay.

| It's conveniently located to Oakland Airport, but not worth the money. Loud, not clean, and needs some updating. I would spend more money to stay in a nicer place!
