Features
What to expect: A longtime Sunset Strip fixture, this retro property is known as the “rock and roll hotel” for its 50-year history of hosting musical entertainers from around the world. It’s also rich with modern accoutrements and continues to be popular with both corporate and leisure visitors. Often a film location, guests might find themselves in the middle of some cinematic action. Amenity highlights: The contemporary lobby, with 2-story windows facing Sunset Strip, provides an excellent perch for celebrity spotting. The outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by chaise lounges, affords panoramic city views and peaceful sunbathing. A computer workstation with Internet access and plenty of natural light is located in an open area of the mezzanine. Public areas offer wireless Internet access (surcharge). Insider tip: The Comedy Club is next door, and the House of Blues is across the street. Movies such as Spinal Tap, Rock Star, Wonderland, and Almost Famous were filmed here.

| The outside appearance was nice and lobby ok but the rooms were very old looking.. This was a real disappointment for a Hyatt rated too high..

| You can't go wrong with the location. The building is pretty old and they done a good job of updating the interior. Nice size balconies (but no chairs to sit and enjoy the view!). Great views of LA. Unfortunately, very cheap on the sheets and towels. Not as bright white as they should be, especially at a Hyatt.

| we picked this hotel because of the location on Sunset Strip and reputation of the hotel name (Hyatt). We were disappointed in the cleanliness and appearance of the rooms. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice (Chi restaurant on the first floor). Difficult to recommend this location based on Quality of hotel but if you are looking for a solid base to venture off for fun activities, probably worth it.
