We really enjoyed our stay. They went out of their way, also to accommodate our young children.

The suite was disappointing. It was once 2 connecting rooms and although it was nicely decorated the furniture was in bad condition. The bed was rock hard and the fold out couch was horrible (even my 5 year old was complaining). The mini fridge was not working and I had to call 3 times to try to get it fixed and they never did get it working (or offer to trade it out for another). The food from room service was awful. I do think the staff was very kind and helpful but they just didn't anticipate some things that could have made or stay more pleasant.

Loews is very nicely appointed and we were treated well by all staff--doormen, check-in, restaurant personnel. One of our reasons for selecting Loews was its advertised 24-hour room service. As luck would have it, this is where they disappointed. The menu in the room is broken down into what can be ordered until 11pm at night, then from 11pm until 6am. At 10pm I picked up the phone to order a late dinner for the four of us. I pushed the room service button on the phone and it rang repeatedly with no answer. So I called the front desk and after being put on hold, having my call transferred, being transferred back to the front desk, etc., was told that the regular menu wasn't available. I pointed out that the menu indicated it was available until 11pm. The explanations given were too murky for me to really grasp, much less convey here. Long story short: I ordered from the more limited late-night menu and it was delivered shortly. To give Loews credit, they apologized and comped the entire meal. The next morning we had breakfast in the restaurant. The food was good, but plates presenting eggs Benedict and slices of melon had apparently been held under heating lamps until the entire table's orders were ready, and the kids' melon slices were HOT! Come on, people!

Stayed twice in last 2 mo. Nice staff, quiet rooms, and best hotel beds ever. Carpet in room needed cleaned and bathroom needs new fictures. Rooms are on the high side, however you still are charged for all extras, ie internet service is not free like hotel up the street for much cheaper price per night.
