Spend two nights here on our way and coming back from vacation. Everything fine and clean. Only complaint, you get a continental breakfast which is supposed to run 8-10am. Don't be late as hotel starts to put away breakfast around 9:30am...

The courtyard views were lovely! My single room overlooked the large, clean, well-kept pool area. The TV pulled out and swiveled so I could watch in the morning from the chair and ottoman in the corner or at the table while I worked on my laptop. The bed was delightful. The king-sized mattress was just right, and I slept well even my first night there. There were ample pillows, and there was no overpowering bleach scent or perfume fragrance. Room service was prompt, and the food was excellent. Try the cheese tortellini! The coffee was a little bitter for my taste, and first thing in the morning you'd expect that it's as freshly made as it was going to get. I arrived very late and from the East Coast. I was exhausted. The desk clerk assigned me a room very close to the entrance so I could fall into bed without a lengthy trek to a distant room! Oh, and the shower had water pressure that was positively sinful. The only comfort-based complaint was getting and keeping the room cool enough. Though there are a few cards in the room explaining the hotel's energy-saving measures (they only change your sheets and towels if you leave things in a certain way), their requested 78 degrees is just too warm for me. I was able to adjust the thermostat down, but it took hours for the room to cool to 70.

We only stayed a night because we were coming from Yosemite and had yet to drive to San Diego. The hotel is setup in an apartment style having two floors to several buildings scattered on the grounds. The room was not child friendly because we were put on the second floor with a window that opened. I called the front desk and explained that we had a rambucious 3 year old and would prefer to be on the first floor especially since there were no elevators and we had a lot of things to carry up those stairs. We were told that they were sold out. The room itself was comfortable and quiet because we had a garden view. It did not have a microwave or a refrigerator which was a little bit of problem for us since we had a young child. The good part is that this hotel is not right on the freeway so there was no problems associated with it's location. The front desk was not clear about the restaurant hours so we didn't get to eat breakfast there.

The hotel was not impressive when it came to helping the guess. It was more like someone was bored and did not want to be bothered.

The rooms were okay, except that I requested and paid for a garden view, and only one room had a view. I lost an item, and the staff was really not helpful in communicating with me. The grounds could use some maintenance, with more water as the side entrance to the building was dusty and unkempt.

The room was larger than most and had a patio that looked out to a nicely landscaped area. Very peaceful. The restaurant had wonderful food, service and ambiance but was on the expensive side for dinner. I'll definitely stay there again on my next trip to Bakersfield.

I needed a nice room to take my daughters to...one that wouldn't gross them out, but would be clean and respectful. The grounds were nice. The service was great, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Also, the interior had updated decor. It was a pleasant experience to stay at this hotel.

The location was conveniently located off CA 99. The property was clean and well maintained. The rooms were very comfortable. The room rate was a great value for the money. The bed was amazingly comfortable. We had a wonderful late dinner at the Bistro Cafe. We will stay there again.
