| Hotel was a little old an out dated, grounds were beautiful as well as. May be the best beach I have ever been to, including Hawaii. Get to the beach early if you want a straw hut for some shade. You will need it! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. If you need your dishes washed, it will finally get done if you leave a fair tip on the counter top. I recommend the hotel, not a lot to do on the island other than water sports or ATV's wich was awesome. We took the full day pkg. 1/2 day ATV, the other 1/2 of day spent at DePalm island! It was great even though I literally ate Arubian dust from the ATV trip! Bring a bandana for your face. Don't wear white, you get filthy, no regrets though. Can fare pretty expensive, the bus can get you there for 1/2 the price of a cab.

| This was the 2nd time we stayed here. The 1st time it was wonderful,no problems. There are new owners for the front bldg, which is timeshare. The back 2 bldgs.,the villas are different owners. The 1st time we were in the middle bldg.and everything was great. This time we were in the back bldg.beware of the elevators. One didn't work all week. One broke down often.Too many people try to crowd into this small elevator and we got stuck once because of this and there wasn't airconditioning,so it was hot!The management did come right away and we were off within 10 minutes.Don't get on if there will be more than 4-5 people or don't let others on if you have that many already. You cannot charge anything to your room from the bars or restaurants in the front bldg.or from any other place in that bldg. You can go anywhere within the 3 bldgs.,but you feel like a 2nd class citizen. You cannot get towels from the front bldg. by the pool and ocean to use, they are a differnt color, you can only get towels by the one pool that is between the 2 back bldgs. There are 2 pools in back, but one is drained as well as the hot tub.We noticed that there was an unusually large number of kids in the afternoon, by the back pool. The resort allows the area kids to use the pool and hot tub Mon thru Fri.You would not want to go in the hot tub late in the day or evening after all the kids were in it.The rooms are clean and large and the beach is gorgeous. We would go back if we were able to get the front bldg.

| We have been to La Cabana more than 5 times over the years. We are not very demanding and do appreciate having a kitchen, as the resort is all-suites. The place is aging and the cleaning staff is not performing some of the tasks that they used to--such as washing any dishes that we may have left in the sink. But overall we are always happy with our experience there. The concierge staff is always very helpful making dinner reservations and tour arrangements for us. The price is always right. Miss the casino.

| We had read the previous reviews on this resort and decided although some were negative we'd give this place the benefit of the doubt - wrong choice. Our family has visited Aruba before and decided that we would try this resort as it would also be a good choice for our children. Not only did we find many areas in need of immediate attention, our room was already booked, a delivery to us from family never arrived, also the facilites and it's surroundings appeared to be seriously neglected. We made the most of a bad situation as all other hotels were booked for this week, and just chalked it up to a bad choice. I would advise anyone else to look at the "hi rise" hotels on the beach as a far better alternative. Not only do you have many many choices for family and couples but they are much better maintained and provide a wide array of things to do. We would not return to this resort.

| We had a suite room in the back half of the resort. The room was large and comfortable. The balcony overlooked two pools and hot tubs. The front half had two more pools and hot tubs, plus more retaurants and snack areas and live music at various times. This area was much busier than our side. The choice of where to hang out depends on your preferences. The ocean side beach is just across a fairly quiet street. We spent most of our relax time at the beach, which is very clean and well maintained. It is also a very romatic evening spot being away from the hotels. Everything is within easy walking distance. This was a great place to stay.

| A nice place to stay. The Suite was large and clean. Everything was there and it worked although some fixtures needed an upgrade. The food at the resort left alot to be desired, we tried them the week before. The kitchen in the suite was a complete and we used it for breakfasts and most lunches. We plan to be back next year.
