| This hotel is on a beautiful beach they even had Sea Shells to pickup. If you go call ahead for a Villa with air conditioning it's worth it. It didn't have a pool but with the ocean so close you don't need one. The food at the hotel for dinner was the best we found, for breakfast stop at Pain Bon it has the best pastries and egg sandwich.

| The hotel is wonderfully situated! It is on the island's most beautiful beach, and at night you can hear the waves as you fall asleep. The hotel is also wonderfully private and doesn't feature a lot of loud boisterous entertainment. The staff are more or less quite accessible and help you obtain anything, within reason, to have a better stay. And there is an excellent and delicious restaurant, Cedar Grove, on the hotel premises. However, the rooms are relatively simple (which is part of the charm)and seem insufficiently tended to (which is not part of the charm). There was a mosquito infestation in our room and despite getting sprayed down numerous times and the continuous buring of citronella candles, mosquitoes still managed to live find their way in, by and large because the screens on the doors and windows appeared to be broken. Also, there were various other insects and flies that seemed quite fond of our room, and we found large colonies every morning. Furthermore, there were panels of the wall that seemed to be jutting out, where insects also seemed to be nestling. It would seem to me, that by tending to these simple matters (of perhaps putting in intact screens on doors and windows, and fixing wall panels), the overall experience of the hotel would improve significantly!! I would nevertheless recommend the hotel, but at this point, I would advise guests to bring lots of bug spray, for the room and their bodies!
