| This was a First Time Trip To New York for me and my two friends. We were very happy with the hotel, maid service and room. First off, we were only in our room for some sleep and to get ready. The only problem we ran into was having three women get ready with only one mirror in the bathroom and for some reason our electric outlet for the hairdryer did not work after the first day. So we had to use the reflection in the tv to do our hair since there was no outlet close to the mirrored closet!! Other than that, we totally plan on going back next year.

| This is the one of the best hotel locations in Midtown. The Novotel is located right next to The Ed Sullivan Theatre (home of the Late Show with David Letterman) and The August Wilson (home of Jersey Boys). Wicked (at the Gershwin) was right around the corner. My room had the best few of Times Square. If you looked out the window of the room to your left you saw Rockefeller Plaza and if you looked right you had a great few of the Hudson. These kinds of views are what you would normally pay hundreds more a night for. This is the second time that I have stayed here and have been extremely satisfied. The lobby and Cafe Noel was a nice stop to sit after a long day of walking. There are two deli's located right out the door of the hotel that were great for late night snacks. This is a nice alternative to the minibar but it was nice to have the minibar for convenience. The hotel staff was very nice from housekeeping to the luggage/security people. They gladly held our bags (for a tiny fee per bag) after we checked out and allowed us to have a full added day in the city. The hotel is so nice for a NYC hotel that while we were checking in there were people coming from other places because the Novotel offers double beds and large rooms that the average NYC hotel room does not have. You can not get more for a better price in NYC.

| This hotel is conveniently located near everything from Times Square to Central Park. The day we arrived we were informed that our room would have no water until the next day. When I said that was unacceptable I was moved to another floor where I was supposed to have water. Unfortunately we only had cold water and when I called to find out no one could explain why that was. Service was called to check it out. They knocked twice and as I was about to open the door they were trying to walk in - luckily I had the safety bolt on the door so they had to wait until I opened it for them. They said they had to investigate why the water was only cold and would get back to me. No one ever phoned back and we were never given an explanation as to why there was no water. We had tickets to a play so just had to leave without showering. Other than that first day our stay was fine. The hotel is clean and very close to everything. I did have an issue with the conceirge reserving a tour for us on the wrong day but luckily we were squeezed into the tour day/time we wanted. Hard to say if I would recommend - I probably would - its clean, the service is friendly depending on the person who happens to be at the counter and its close to everything. We had a fun time.

| This hotel is an excellent location, it is easy to get to the subway, time square and lots of resturants. We had a great view of times square from our room. With everything within walking distance, this hotel is a great find. The service was not that great, but rooms were very comfortable. I would definitley stay there again.

| Overall, we had a wonderful time. The location of the hotel is perfect. Almost everything is within walking distance. On a late evening which was our last night in New York, my girlfriend surprised me with an awesome shirt as a gift. However, we found a defect on it and had to exchange it the very next morning. Due to our flight the next day, we had to find out what time the store opened and our morning plans depended on the information. After trying to search for the store info. at night, I asked a worker behind the reception desk if he could track down a store on-line because it wasn't listed in the phone book. A quick google search would've given me all the info I needed. He said that he couldn't go on line because they didn't provide that SERVICE for the customers. I figured that for the price we're all paying to stay there, it wouldn't hurt for them to go the extra mile, besides there was barely anybody in the hotel lobby at that time.
