| The services is good. I needed to print an online reservation of bus ticket, so the hotel manager let me print it at her printer. But "the five blocks from the metro station" is really five big blocks. It may cost you 15 minutes. Fortunately, Silver Spring city provides free shuttle passing by the hotel. Silver Spring is a peaceful and friendly city. Very peaceful. Even a single girl may have a free walk in the streets at 9:00pm in the evening. Two bad things. The first and most important is no washing machine, very inconvenient. The second is the receiption desk is not an open place to the lobby. It seems that area is very dangerous, but acturely not.

| the neighborhood's a little rough around the edges, but it's convenient to silver spring metro and cheap. the room was no-frills (no coffee maker) but clean and functional. the bathroom was newly tiled and pleasant, though the light fixture could have used some cleanser. use the east-west highway (410) to transit the 5 blocks to the metro station rather than Georgia Ave.

| In our first night there, in the middle of the night we heared some noise coming from the table side. I chechked the table and I found this mouse eating our cheetos. My wife get scared. I called the front desk and they said they can't do any thing now and they don't have any room available to switch. I had to call 4 times in the next day and they didn't get me another room. I beged them to send any one to check the room because we heared the mouse noise again int he morning. Finaly they sent a young guy with a glue trap and he didn't even make any effort to look for the mouse. I think they are used to these kind of complaint. The rooms smelled very bad all the time and the carpet was dirty. I understood that this a cheap hotel before I go there but I didn't imagine it to be this low. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to any body.

| My first impression of this hotel was not positive. My luggage did not make it on the same plane with me and would need to be delivered to the hotel. When I called the hotel to let them know to expect the delivery, I was told "we do not have room do not have them deliver your luggage here". I could barely understand the person and she refused to let me speak to the manager. I went to the hotel in person and the manager had no problem with accepting my luggage. Really bad first impression. The accomadations were as expected and clean. I would probably stay again but just not deal with that particular clerk.

| If you have to travel to the Washington DC area, and want an inexpensive, reasonably close to the Metro (5 blocks), free parking place to stay, this is the place. Typical Days Inn floorplan, condition, amenities (complete with microwave and refrigerator). No restaurants or bars nearby. However, the Metro is just $2.40 and a 20 minute ride to downtown DC. Good for business travelers on a budget.

| Expedia had my reservation dates correct, but somehow the hotel got it wrong. After hearing other customers making similar complaints that night and next day at check out,I realized it is an organizational problem that needs to be dealt with at that hotel. The rooms are clean and well kept but customer service needs to improve.

| This was my 2nd visit to this Days Inn and all it was really used for was to have somewhere to shower, change clothes and rest before heading back to philly from an evening of nightlife in the DC area. Location is very accessible to getting in & out of DC and vicinity since Georgia Ave is right there at the corner. Going through Expedia was very smooth &"expedited" Parking however could be a problem. It would be helpful if a parking space was available in the area of your room. We returned to the hotel late and had to park in the public parking lot around the corner. I would definitely use this location again in a future visit.

| The hotel was dirty and the personnel was not helpful. The cops were called the first night because of a fight in the parking lot. The ice machine was in a dark corner with no working light fixtures.
