    La Posada de Albuquerque Amenities
This historic hotel was opened in 1939 by New Mexico native Conrad Hilton, who honeymooned here with his bride, Zsa Zsa Gabor. John F. Kennedy, Jimmy Stewart, Bill Gates, Lucille Ball, Spencer Tracy, and Al Gore have all signed the guest registry at this hotel. Capturing the essence of the Southwest, this hotel features an elaborate Moorish brass and mosaic-tiled fountain, hand-crafted circular balcony, massive vigas, and Native American war-dance murals. The hotel is located close to the convention center and the Route 66 Entertainment Corridor. A day spa, restaurant, lounge, and meeting space are located on-site. Guests have access to a health club and swimming pool across the street. The hotel is also home to Jane Butel’s Southwestern Cooking School.

    Features

The lobby was beautiful, but from the elevator on up, everything else needed updating. I don't know how else to describe the room other than being old. The only benefit I found this hotel had, was being very close to downtown and all the clubs, so it was a quick walk home after a night out.

Very nice hotel with all it's charm of 1930's but the smell of old cigar smoke in the hallways. The shower also had a smell of sulfer, otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is historic. It is very old, and although they have done some renovations, I personally did not feel very comfortable. My husband, who loves historic things, thought it was great.
