The Camino Real in Guadalajara has a wonderful park-like atmosphere due to the low rise buildings, the trees and plantings, and the several pools. The hotel staff has always been friendly and well-organized. The buffet breakfasts are rather pricy, but a late breakfast could easily sustain you until dinner time, and the food and selection are quite good. If I had to find a negative, I would say there is some street noise since the complex lies between two major streets. Still, the walls around the complex and the solid construction of the buildings attenuate most of the noise. Of all the Guadalajara hotels we have stayed in, we like the Camino Real the best.

Was familiar with Camino Real years ago, has deteriorated, rooms are lousy and beds are not comfortable, staff is friendly and helpful. If on business might be okay, but with family or vacation not a best pick.
