Features
What to expect: The step-down lobby offers a welcoming ambience, with comfortable sofas, armchairs upholstered in crushed velvet, a grandfather clock, flowers, potted plants, and framed photos and prints of historic Boston maps.
Amenity highlights: Plays, hit musicals, and concerts at the hotel’s Stuart Street Playhouse complement other entertainments available in the Theatre District. Golfers can sharpen their game at the on-site PGA-staffed golf school, open fall and winter (surcharge), and on the 8,000-square-foot indoor driving range. The small indoor pool faces the fitness center on one side, and a sundeck provides a welcome retreat in fair weather. A large on-site garage (surcharge) simplifies check-in and getting about.
Insider tip: Reminiscent of Beacon Hill, albeit on a smaller scale, Bay Village, just west and south of the hotel, is a charming enclave of narrow streets lined with tiny houses, many with colorful, flowering window boxes. The neighborhood is perfect for a stroll.
Theater Café - Casual restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, dinner. American fare, including New England favorites such as Maine Lobster Bisque and Baked Scrod with Breadcrumbs and Drawn Butter.

| I was on vacation with my two kids - boy and girl teens. At check-in, when I discovered that the room had two queen beds, I asked for a king and a rollaway instead. (I had requested this, if possible, in my Expedia reservation.) They promptly upgraded us to a "junior suite" - a huge room with a king and a sofabed... and *two* terraces and *two* TVs - at no extra cost! My only complaint - and it's very minor - was that the bathroom was smallish, and didn't have a full tub (just a square half-size tub with a seat at one corner; just big enough to sit in, but not with your legs extended), or nearly enough counter space and hanging rods/hooks. Apart from that, it was perfect. The location is great - a block from the Public Garden! Two blocks from a T stop. Surrounded by theaters (not that we went to a show.) Definitely recommended!

| Great hotel centrally located in the middle of Boston's "Theater District". Within easy walking distance of Boston Common (beginning of The Freedom Trail),the Public Gardens, Beacon Hill, Chinatown, Copley Square, the T (Boston's subway system), and numerous Boston eatries. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful...everyone from the concierge to the bellman and valet staff! All were very willing to assist with all our needs and questions! Our room was spacious, well maintained, very clean and the balony view of the city was spectacular!!! Would definitely recommend this hotel to the pickiest of our friends!

| Walking distance to Commons, Freedom Trail, shops, restaurants(including Cheers and Hard Rock), subway station. 10 minute subway commute to Fenway Park or Fanuile Hall. We stayed in a comfortable mini-suite with a wonderful Sleep Number king sized bed. Our Expedia rate included parking- a good overall value.
