Features
What to expect: This all-suite hotel offers a central location between the popular Foggy Bottom and Dupont Circle neighborhoods. Georgetown’s boutiques, cafés, historic sites, and picturesque canal are about a half-mile away. The retro vibe is unmistakable in this 1960s blond-brick building, from the blue columns that line the semicircular driveway to the Sunday Fondue Brunch at the Circle Bistro. The clientele runs the gamut from families to diplomats to musicians with gigs at Georgetown’s Blues Alley.
Amenity highlights: Ivy covers the walls around the hotel’s landscaped patio and seasonal outdoor pool. On warm nights, guests can enjoy drinks in the glow of lanterns mounted on the walls. When it gets cooler, they gather around the fireplace or on the plush banquettes in Circle Bistro’s dark-orange lounge. The restaurant offers creative American and Mediterranean fare, and hosts live jazz on Saturday nights.
Insider tip: Some of the city’s funkiest stores and restaurants are north of the hotel in Dupont Circle. Bibliophiles spend hours perusing the shelves at Second Story Books, at the corner of P and 20th Streets; the store also carries used CDs, albums, and prints. Fashionistas love the second-hand designer clothes at Secondi, on the corner of Connecticut Avenue and R Street. A half-block down, Teaism serves tea and Asian-influenced fare.
Circle Bistro - Dressed-up American favorites—some with a Mediterranean twist—dominate the menu. Highlights include Vegetable Strudel, Lamb Chops with Tomato-Eggplant Mousse, and, for dessert, Apple Beignets with Vanilla Sauce. Curved windows double as skylights over banquettes upholstered in burnt-orange corduroy. Glass panels separate the dining area from the lounge, a large honeycomb of spaces built around a fireplace. In summer, the space extends to the walled-in patio. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, a pre-theater menu, and a Sunday Fondue Brunch. Live jazz is presented Saturday nights.

| One Washington Circle was a great place to stay and the location is fantastic! One block to the metro and you can visit all of the sites of the DC area. The hotel has a full kitchen complete with a gas stove if you are in the mood to cook. The people that work there are willing to help anyway they can. The hotel even offers a small workout room and pool. We would definately stay again.

| The hotel was in a great location, a few blocks from DuPont circle and a few blocks from Georgetown and the metro was in walking distance. The room was very and it was huge. It had a full kitchen, a living room, and large balcony. The service was excellent, we asked the concierge for local info almost everyday and they were always more than happy to help us out. It was an excellent hotel and I would stay there again.

| One Washington Circle was great! Clean and spacious rooms, located a short distance from the Foggy Bottom Metro, Georgetown, the Kennedy Center and the White House. It's right across from GW Hospital, so there were sirens during the night, but aside from that minor inconvenience it was a very comfortable hotel.

| This hotel was clean and comfortable. It was a bit noisy at night with the Hospital across the street but it didn't keep us up. The staff was helpfull and friendly, housekeeping even did our dishes! The Metro station is close by and National Airport is on the same Metro line. We would definatly stay here again.

| Only two minor complaints: 1)Hotel is about a block away from a hospital, so there were frequently sirens heard from ambulances. 2)There was no tourist info (pamphlets and such) available in the lobby. Admittedly I am used to frequenting more "touristy" types of areas. With that being said, I was not bothered by sirens while trying to sleep. Also the front desk personnel were very helpful with questions about how to get to the Metro (about 1 1/2 blocks away), how to get anywhere we wanted to go on the Metro (marked up a map for us), hours of the places we wanted to go see, and so on. Full kitchen and balcony were nice too. No chairs on the balcony though. Very satified and would definitely go back.

| The service was excellent. We never had any problems, and were always appropriately served. The room was large, and had an accessible balcony. The room additionally had kitchen facilities which we had not expected. This is convenient for a longer stay. The hotel restaurant has an interesting contemporary design. There's a small pool outside. This is excellent for the hot summer months when one does not want to be going to an indoor pool, but rather enjoying some fresh air and sun. There's a lifeguard on duty at all times even though the pool is very small. This hotel is on Washington Circle, only a few blocks from the White House. It is only one block from the Metro. It is quite convenient coming from Ronald Reagan Airport directly on the blue line, no changeover.

| This was a nice hotel in a great neighborhood - Easy access to the metro and comfortable surroundings. Beds were so comfy and it was nice to have a balcony. While the hotel was fine for kids, we asked for a restaurant recommendation and they only gave us the hotel restaurant. The circle Bistro was very nice, upscale food - not necessarily appropriate for the average 9-yr old. However, they quickly assessed our needs and did make her something off of the menu with which she was very happy.

| This hotel is a converted apartment building so all rooms are spacious suites with kitchens. The decor throughout the hotel is very tastefully done. Room amenities such as whole coffee beans and coffee grinder are a nice touch. The CD player alarm clock is also a bonus. Loved the walk-in closet with lots of space to hang clothes. My onky complaint was that I used the hotel parking and the valet was rather slow. But the location cannot be beat. WIthin a couple blocks of the Foggy Bottom/GWU metro stop, and halfway between Georgetown and Dupont Circle. Overall, a very nice experience.
