    Miramonte Resort and Spa Amenities
Including two-room cabanas with ceiling fans, misting systems, basin sinks, and mosaic-tile showers in addition to air conditioned rooms and open-air suites, a health spa offers massage, body wraps/scrubs, facials, waxing, and hair/nail care. A "Pittura Festa" uses colored mud to paint body, face, and hair in an outdoor setting with shower. An outdoor relaxation area with 25-foot-long heated pool includes a soaking pool with cascades for massage and yoga-like stretching. Women's and men's steam rooms are also available. (Surcharge for spa facilities without treatment.)

    Recreation
A 75-by-22.5-foot family pool and a 35-foot-long oval adults-only pool are heated for year-round use. Three rental cabanas furnished with cushioned teak lounges, dining sets, and compact refrigerators border the family pool. Elevated at one end of the pool and surrounded by flowers are an oval 14-person spa tub and a sundeck with trellis-shaded tables. Adjacent to the adult pool is an 18-person spa tub open until late night.

Across the road from the resort, the Golf Resort at Indian Wells offers two golf courses, a driving range, and putting green. Carts include Global Positioning System monitors for measuring distances to pins. A Callaway Golf Performance Center fits clubs for purchasers. The Indian Wells Tennis Garden with 38 grass, clay, and hard courts, plus a 16,000-seat stadium, is 1.5 miles from the resort.

In winter season, the resort offers complimentary pool aerobics, power walks, and Pilates. Year-round there are exercise classes such as yoga and hydro yo-chi (surcharges).

The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the resort; fees may apply.

    Features
What to expect: Olive and citrus trees and rose and herb gardens contribute to the resort's Tuscan ambience, while freestanding hammocks supply snoozing-in-the-shade opportunities. Children are welcome, but most guests are couples attracted by the resort's intimacy and tranquility.

Amenity highlights: Two pools, one for families and the other for adults, furnish year-round swimming. Family and adult spa tubs flank the respective pools. The resort's restaurant uses herbs, salad greens, and citrus from the grounds. A health spa provides indoor and outdoor treatments, and exercise classes are offered year-round.

Insider tip: The weekend Street Fair at the College of the Desert, 5 miles from the resort, consists of approximately 250 vendors and dining stalls and is open early morning to noon.

Ristorante Brissago - Air-conditioned restaurant and terrace seating. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner. Mediterranean cuisine. Salad greens, herbs, citrus from resort gardens.

Lobby Lounge - Open mid-morning to late night for cocktails.

Pool Bar - Open mid-morning to late afternoon on weekends and during high-occupancy periods.

Mediterranean style resort in a beautiful setting, well-kept gardens, friendly staff. Expensive but excellent Spa facilities. First class chef - all the meals we had (dinner and lunch twice) were memorable. In fact we intended to go out of the hotel for dinner the second evening, but decided to stay again as we could not imagine better food elsewhere!

Checked into this hotel and they didn't mention the central air conditioning was not working. Called again after returning from dinner and they said it was fixed and should be working. the air conditioning still did not work. At 3:30AM, we changed hotels. They never offered anything for our inconvienence. Don't know how this hotel ended up on top of the Expedia's Picks list. Do not stay here!

The hotel overall was great, my only complaint was the restaurant and bar. They were really casual and if you wanted to hangout and the hotel and have a nice dinner and relax in the bar this really isn't the hotel for you. We did find a great restaurants close by though so I would recommend this hotel.

I had my wedding ceremony at the Miramonte in July 2006 on the Piazza Terrace and my reception in the Venetian Room, and it was beautiful! The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are pretty nice, but the rooms are small compared to other resorts in the area for the same price. I think the $16/night resort fee is a rip off - especially if you're staying longer than a few nights. However, the hotel is centrally located to wonderful restaurants, stores and casinos. Do not go to Palm Springs in July unless you want to melt. The place was HOT!

This was a great place to rest and relax. The massage was one of the best I've ever had. Would highly recommend this resort.

From the front desk to the housekeepers, everyone seems to love their job! Our room was nice, downstairs with a patio. Not your typical overcrowded hotel. Rooms very conveinent to both pools. Poolside food, too expensive for what you get. We will be back!

Hotel room was small but adequate enough. Main complaint would be that they did not respond when we asked for extra pillows, and we asked twice. I was 7-1/2 months pregnant during the trip and really needed the extra pillows to help me sleep more comfortably. Also, my husband had booked me a spa package (as a last trip before the baby arrives and to help me relax before labor), which was a great idea. But they had made a mistake with the masseuse and I almost didn't get a massage on the day it was scheduled. They were very accommodating though and made it work. Overall, I'd recommend the resort but with warnings about room service.

The hotel was very beautiful and a great getaway. The only problem I had with the hotel is that the building where my room was located, had a power outage that last for a couple of hours. My boyfriend and I was very disappointed in how long it took to rectify the problem.

The hotel staff tried very hard to be gracious and pleasant: some of them were indeed. Unfortunately, there were too many things that just were not right. My husband used the "valet" service one evening... In the morning, the front desk guy was also the "valet": long story short, my husband in the end went and got our car! Two mornings in the row (at 8 am!!!) we got a phone call from "housekeeping" inquiring at what time we would like our room cleaned!?! Way too early and very annoying... And then there was the yard work at 8 am on Friday morning: that was just too much!!! We enjoyed the area, but not the resort.
