When reviewing the hotel online. The hotel looked very nice but seeing it and being there was another issue. I would never stay at that hotel again.

Once upon a time there was a (probably) 4 stars Hotel named Hollywood Metropolitan Hotel, situated in Hollywood (of course) and with beautiful windows trought you can see the famous "Hollywood" sign on the mountain, but NOW the Hotel is old (the windows aren't good and the air inflate inside!), not clear (all is yellow and you can play at the teasure hunt because of what you can find under your bed!), and the breakfast is also made with old food (my toast was gone of! It looked green!!!)... Otherwise the bed was confortable and the view was wonderful!

My wife and I, along with her mother and father, spent 5 nights in the Metropolitan Hotel on the 6th floor (in two separate rooms, of course). We were very satisfied with the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the price was good, and it was very convenient to all the tourist attractions of Hollywood and the general area. The room was quite and the underground parking was safe and secure. If we go back again, we will definitely stay there.

We picked this hotel based on reviews from the Expedia website, and although very satisfied with the location and views from our room (couldn't get a better view of the Hollywood sign), we were very disappointed with the state of our room. If you walked on the carpet with socks on, your socks ended up filthy. The room also smelt mouldy. Thank godness Denny's and Starbucks is just down the road, as the breakfast is virtually non-existent (even though it's included in the room rate). The whole top floor is the 'restaurant' - what a waste of a great view...

I would definately recomend this hotel. The room was extremely clean, not even a hair, and believe me, I check the beds, everything! The furniture had a few blemishes, but to me it was the clean that counts. The beds were very, very comfortable. Our room looked straight up Sunset Blvd. and had a nice view. The staff was kind, sweet and wonderful. About the parking, before booking the hotel I read reviews and some said the parking was a problem. I didn't have any. You get a tag to hang from your mirror, so if you can't part above, or below there is a lot which will take your car at no cost to you, that is 1/3 of a block away at most. The continental breakfast had good coffee, and a view from the 12th floor that was wonderful. We could see the HOLLYWOOD sign from there, when the morning mist cleared.

The hotel is dated and the beds are uncomfortable. The pillows were lumpy. The continental breakfast was marginal. The staff did not keep the area clean

This hotel is way to expensive for it's "quality." It was borderline the ghetto of hollywood and we heard sirens all night. I would never stay here again.

This is a good, solid hotel. It's two star, so not fancy, and, as mentioned before, no pool or restaurant to speak of. That said, the location is perfect - Hollywood Blvd, Sunset Strip, Beverley Hills etc all within easy driving distance, and you are right next to the Hollywood Freeway if you want to venture farther afield. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and we felt very safe at all times. Room was clean and comfortable, and on the higher floors the views out over the city are fascintating. Sure, the bathroom wasn't anything to write home about, but it worked, and was kept clean each day. A good base for budget travel, especially if you don't plan on spending a ton of time in the room.
