The indoor lap pool, day spa, and fitness center are located on the sixth floor. A YMCA is 1.5 blocks away for those who are members or hotel guests who want to use the facilities for a fee. Bicycles can be rented on Mt. Royal, 1.5 kilometers (1 mile) away, or at the Old Port, 3 kilometers (2 miles) south.

    Features
What to expect: The hotel’s three-story atrium lobby welcomes guests with abundant greenery and towering palms, crystal chandeliers, inlaid woodwork, and wingback chairs. L’Impromptu Bar opens off the lobby and has a pool table and long bar. Guests also unwind on the poolside terrace under shady maple trees. Business clients prevail on weekdays, with families and couples arriving on weekends.

Amenity highlights: The relaxing outdoor terrace adjoins the sixth-floor day spa, fitness center, and lap pool where the attendant dispenses towels and oversees Cécile, the hotel’s Trinidadian parrot. The business center, equipped with high-speed Internet access (surcharge), is open 24 hours a day and staffed from early morning until mid-afternoon. The hotel also has meeting rooms of various sizes and a ballroom that can accommodate 1,000 people.

Insider tip: The old Montréal Forum—once the venue for Montréal Canadiens hockey games—is two subway stops west at Atwater Street. Now a movie and entertainment complex, it retains center ice markings and some original seats. For a fun photo op, visitors can sit on a player’s bench beside a life-sized statue of the team’s legendary forward Maurice “Rocket” Richard.

Le Boulevard - This 160-seat restaurant with its Chinese art screens and flowered upholstery is open from early morning to late evening and serves either buffet or à la carte breakfasts, à la carte lunches, and table d’hote or à la carte dinners. The cuisine is Continental and includes seafood and pasta dishes as well as veal, poultry, and beef. Some low-carbohydrate choices are offered and there is a children’s menu.

L’Impromptu - A long bar and pool table distinguish this sports bar and lounge that opens onto the lobby. Open mid-morning until late night.

This was a first time visit in Montreal for a Mom, and two teenagers. The hotel was in a great central location to all activities, my room rate was a great value, Sheraton had a nice pool, and fitness center. Our hotel room was nice and the beds were so comfortable and very easy to sleep in. The hotel staff was friendly and the concierge was generous with advice and helpful with directions. Be aware that valet parking or self parking underground is extra per day but Montreal does not offer much on street parking.

Location of this hotel is almost perfect. Wonderful restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. Great steakhouse around the corner. Although the room was a bit small, the sleeper comfort bed made up for it. Staying in a Club Queen Room was a bargain. Valet parking was efficient.

The rooms were smaller (European like) than Americans are accustomed to and way too small for a couple for more than a night or two. The bathrooms were tiny and very dated. I would try a different hotel next time.

We were in Montreal for the sites. Stayed four days before going on to Quebec City. If we would do it again, we would skip Montreal. Don't take me wrong, Montreal is a great city, but Quebec is more on the slower side. Anyway, about the hotel. It's smack in the middle of down town. Great if your on a business trip. We had to use public transportation to see every thing we came to see. The people at the hotel couldn't help us enough and the room was great. But if you want good restaurants, don't ask them. We made the mistake. Go to St. Catherine Street and south two blocks to Cresson Street. Many good restaurants there. Would we use this hotel again if we needed one in Montreal, of course!

I was very pleased. The pool was great. The restaurant was great. The room service was excellent. The staff was very courteous and met all our requests on time. They treat the guests like royalty while not putting on a show. One can tell that the staff is well-trained in hospitality. The decor is very old and classy, which suits my taste.

The room was adequate in size and clean. However, the bathroom was old and run down.I was very disappointed with the house keeping services. The bed was made poorly and appeared untidy. On the positive side, the concierge was very informative and helpful. The location is excellent and is only a block away from St Catherine's street. Old Montreal is aso within walking distance.Overall, the hotel itself was a little above average, but its location makes it much more attractive.
