| If you have read the other reviews, you know that the restaraunt/bar are closed. The shuttle provided to the town of Red Hook (3 Min away) helps a lot. There are several very good places to eat there, especially "Maggie Malones" Irish Pub. If you think about it, how many times would you eat at the hotel anyway. The rooms have do have kitchenettes, so you can buy the rum and other extremely cheap drinks in town and make your own and save money anyway. The beach and reef at the hotel make up for any short comings with food and booze. Sea Turtles, tons of fish, Rays, etc. are all right there. Buy an underwater disposable camera before you go...half the price that way. It's easy to get to the other islands as well, with the ferry out of Red Hook with service to beautiful St John every hour on the hour (20 min ride, $5 each way). My wife and I had a blast and hadn't experienced that kind of relaxation in years. Highly Recommend!

| I was very dissapointed as there were no restaurants on location. I had to wait over 14 hours for towels and wash cloths after which the staff became very rude when I voiced my displeasure about the hotel in the hotel lobby. The conceieres were very helpful.

| This hotel is located on the most beautiful beach in St. Thomas. The reef is great and the views are spectacular. The facility itself is still nice but the maintenance is falling off since I was there 5 years ago. The restaurant and bar are closed and this was a real detriment to our stay, especially the pool bar and grille. Overall we had a good stay but if management doesn't wake up and put money into maintenace and the food and beverage service this will no longer be a first class resort in a coup[le of years.

| Hotel was outdated and weathered. The service was not good at all, requested things over and over and never got them. Only good service we had was at the beachside service. Beach is beautiful - best on the island. I will never stay at this hotel again or refer people to it. Make sure if you do risk staying here you make sure the restaurant is open.

| Saphire Beach Resort provided an escape into paradise. The beach and locale are wonderful. The hotel facility needs some TLC, staff did a wonderful job. The lack of on-site dining was a disappointment. The offer of free transport into adjacent Red Hook for dining mitigated the absence somewhat. Take extra cash for the taxi fees.

| We were very disappointed to find out that all the restaurants on the property were closed down 5 days before we arrived. We should have been notified. We would not have stayed here. Either prepare to go to town for every meal or cook in your room (where we found many cockroaches)!! Taxi's for 1 mile trip were too expensive. Because water was turned off at restaurants, bathrooms were not available at the pool. No towel service at the pool either. You had to walk to the beach to get towels. The beach was beautiful.

| The moment we landed at Charlotte Amelie we were hoping our hotel was not in the crowded city...and our wish was granted. Our room was overlooking the beach and very close to the pool and grille. Overall the experience was wonderful, there is a dive shop in the premises and you can go for snorkeling/parasailing/diving etc.. We hope to be there again!
