| I enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant has DELICIOUS steaks. The jacuzzi was relaxing. Overall - worth the money. They were doing some minor renovating while I was there which was a bit of a nuisance. The area is ideal for business travellers as well as leisure - quiet and easily accessible to/from all parts of Charlotte.

| Stayed here expecting 4 stars. Apparently Marriott took this over the weekend before. Negative: First room had a broken door, so after a 12 hour drive I had to re-pack and move to another floor. TV wouldnt order movies, never fixed even though I told them twice. No coffee maker, fridge or microwave? Free coffee removed at 10, most days, a couple days it was later. I found blood on carpet leading out of the bathroom. Side door wont open after midnight, desk was argumentative when I explained there was a sign that said it should open after midnight with your room key. On the last day, maid removed the dirty towels, leaving 1 clean towel. The air filter was so dirty in the room that the ceiling had black on it from where the exhaust was. This is directly above the hallway just outside the room, so it's hard to miss. Other areas of the hotel room had dust where you can see that they have no attention to detail when cleaning. Positive: The people are the only thing that saves this hotel. Front desk was almost always extremely helpful. Great, fast, room service with good food. The staff did my laundry even though its not a service. Hertz car rental in the hotel was extra helpful. I ended up checking out early, after 4 days or so. Eventually even the great people there can not hide the hotel problems.

| This hotel is an example of how a hotel is supposed to be run. One of my favorites places to stay when I'm on the road.

| I've stayed at The Park many times in recent years, and I've been consistently pleased. On my last visit however, I began to notice that the place was getting a little worse for wear - I could feel the springs in the seat in the restaurant, there was no desk chair in my room, the lamp rattled as I worked on my computer, no towels in the exercise room, etc. I'm going to look for another hotel in Charlotte.

| The hotel has all the makings of a wonderful place to stay, great location, service, rental car in lobby, computer to check e-mail, etc., but you get to the rooms and they are old, with old bathrooms, no duvets, really old thin worn towels, no great amenities...
