| Great hotel to stay at because it is close to lots of places in Downtown Chicago. The rooms need a little bit of updating/upgrading otherwise they were spacious and everything you needed is in there. The bed was comfortable and we had a beautiful view of the John Hancock Tower from the bedroom. If you are looking for a plush hotel, this hotel probably won't suit you but if you are going to be gone half the time and just need the basic necessities then Seneca is the place to be.

| My wife and I enjoy staying in the Gold Coast area of Chicago. This trip to Chicago we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the Seneca Hotel. Locatged just one block of Michigan Avenue, right behind the Hancock Center, the Seneca was roomy, clean and just absolutely perfect. The room was spacious, two great restaurants located in the hotel and just two blocks from Lake Michigan. We llok forward to blloking our next trip to Chicago and staying at the Seneca again.

| While I had read previous reviews prior to our visit (the good and bad), I can find nothing negative to say about our experience at the Seneca even though we were in one of the "unremodeled" rooms. It was lovely and like being in our own apartment -- a "home away from home". It was spacious, clean and very comfortable with very comfortable beds as well. The staff was excellent in referring us to places and answering any questions we had. The location was superb -- one block off of Magnificent Mile and as soon as you walked only partway from the MM, the noise level dropped and was so peaceful. We never felt unsafe and everyone in Chicago was helpful in every way. We enjoyed one of the restaurants immensely -- the Saloon Steakhouse -- and we look forward to returning to try the others. Definitely recommend this to anyone and we are hoping to repeat our trip next year and look forward to staying at the Hotel Seneca again.

| Three rooms for the price of one was a great deal. The full kitchen was a bonus too. Alittle outdated but clean. Close to shopping and next to the John Hancock so you never get lost.

| Wonderful old hotel in on going rehab. Lobby just finished and beautiful. I would go back again. The room we had was a 1 bedroom suite which was very large with a full kitchen.Right out the door is Water Tower Place and John Hancock Bldg. Close to everything and still in a quiet area.

| Excellent hotel at an ideal location at the foot of the Hancock Center for a very good price. Recently modernized, very secure, clean, and comfortable. Reception staff were businesslike but not particularly friendly. They seemed anxious to be done with me so that they could resume their conversations among themselves.

| We've stayed a few times at the Seneca, and it's an excellent hotel. It has a good location, rooms with more or less full kitchen, and a decent price. Now includes free wireless for it's guest which was very nice.

| I booked two suites at this hotel for a weekend family stay. The rooms were very large, but the furnishings were worn and outdated. I would have preferred a newer hotel with smaller rooms for the money. The location of the hotel was great.
