| We spent a long weekend in Santa Barbara and were pleased with this hotel. The location couldn't be better. It's right across the street from the beach, within walking distance of several decent restaurants and is a few blocks away from State Street. The hotel is a quite expensive for a Doubletree, but perhaps it was due to the long weekend and the fact that it's on the beach in Santa Barbara. The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable! The rooms were spacious and clean. The only disappointment during our stay was when we ordered room service. It took them an hour to bring us a side of fries! Oh well... I'd still highly recommend this hotel.

| A lovely hotel that was recently upgraded. The grounds are lovely and the room was beautiful. It is a bit of a walk to State Street; recommend a taxi.

| The hotel is a good location to the beach. This is a good hotel if you plan to spend little time in the room. The mini bar was full of old products and the coffee is terrible - we ordered room service - still terrible. Staff was nice and receptive, but the quaility of our room was not what I wanted. Everything seemed a little off - cleanliness, decor. The airvents were exposed and dirty. Overall, the room felt dirty.

| It's a great place to stay, I have been there 3 times in the last year, and I never had a problem. They treat you well. There is plenty of parking, and the Hotel is just across the street from the Ocean in a quiet area.

| Common areas are much better since renovation - will be nice when room have all been updated as well. Beautiful view of beach and mountains. I had enjoyable meals in the restaurants but the food for the conference (catering department) was disappointing - likely due to conference size (750). High-speed wireless in room connectivity was a little unreliable - free connectivity in lobby did not work for me and staff was unable to resolve.

| I was very disappointed by the condition of the room ie: very worn carpeting. The service was very poor. We had to call 4 times in order to have someone clean the room! We finally gave up by 5pm and simply requested fresh towels. That also took more than one call. We had a few ants the first night that turned into a full blown attack...they were covering the bathroom floor, the tub and sink as well as the night stand and dresser...it was awful!
