| everything is new and clean. the center garden area is absolutely beautiful, with an artificial stream running through it. the garden opens up into a gorgeous oceanfront restaurant... and though the restaurant is rather pricey, it has wondeful ambience. the portion of seven mile beach that the hotel sits on isn't the absolute best on the island (try going a few miles north for more privacy), but it is great for laying out and snorkeling, nonetheless. my husband and i are usually wary of 'child-friendly' places, since we don't have any kids and would rather not be bothered by them - but even though this is a family environment, it is still peaceful and quiet, and caters perfectly to the romance-seeking couple.

| It's located right on the beach, unlike a few other hotels. The Solana restaurant on site was excellent but very expensive. We had a great time and plan to go back with our daughter, it's a great place for little kids to have a good time in the water, but take you need to wear beach shoes the beach is very rocky and will hurt your feet. Make sure you buy your scuba and snorkling gear before you go -very very expensive for everthing.

| stayed for 8 days, bech rocky and small, pool ok best part are the sunsets "Breathtaking""Great Pictures" any 8 yr old would enjoy the pool, hotel ok "Resort, NO WAY" Aruba and Puerto Rico got this Marriot BEAT ! Very small, food at hotel not impressive, Rum Point is a must see and made this visit worth the money, when at Rum Point must eat the "Fish and chips". Driving on the left was scary, thank goodness for full insurance.Georgetown only caters to the ships, everything closes and there is nothing to do or shop for once the ship people are gone. Dont count on a walk downtown at dusk for shopping, boats leave between 4 and 5pm and they all close shop after that (Sad because is a nice little area if they had sidewalk cafes and people watching).

| The hotel is excellent, especially as it was just recently renovated. The beach is great, and the nice thing is that there are no people trying to sell you things.

| The property is really beautiful. On the whole the staff was great, the maids were wonderful and very friendly as were the bell staff. Food was ok, very expensive, beach really great , a little small but beautiful, you can snorkle right in front of the hotel. We felt very safe walking around and driving. One day the hotel closed our beach for private party ... I really feel that is unfair, they should have closed one side. All in all we had a great time and will return.

| Top-notch hotel with all the amenities. Well appointed and clean rooms. Spa is great! However, exercise room is bare bones. Good in-house dining, but food and drinks are expensive. Did a 7 day dive package with Red Sail. Dive shop on premises; well operated, friendly, helpful staff, and great dive masters! Would definately do this again!

| Hotel was very nice, a lot of people but it didn't feel crowded. My 10 yr old had the time of his life and didn't want to leave. The beach was a little "rocky" i guess caused by the hurricane a couple of years ago, but the water was nice. Nice size pool, not too big not too small. Service was excellent. Never had a problem during our 4 night stay. Front desk people treated us very well, housekeeping people were attentive, concierge service was the best (helped us with all our day trips and nights out), beach and pool staff were great. Food (in and out of the hotel) was very expensive, though we knew that before we got there, but still wasn't prepared for it. for example, at Wendy's, we usually spend $7 for the 3 of us here in the U.S., over there it came out to $13.75, go figure. make sure to go to Stingray City swimming with the stingrays. they pick you up at the hotel and back. We also did the Sea Trek helmet diving. Like I said, my son had so much fun, we did too!!!!
