| This is an older motel. The service was inconsistent. The breakfast and afternoon sherry were great. The adjacent restuarant was very good and very reasonably priced. The location is great.

| Very good location. Buffet breakfast included in price was excellent. Nice room with working fireplace. Free use of Internet in the lobby. Only glitch - Some confusion about getting a newspaper. They made you sign for it(USA Today), but then did not deliver it.

| Overall a lovely place to base ourselves for visiting old town Santa Fe. Room was a tad small. Had to squeeze against bed to go out door. Obvious attention to detail in the room however. Hotel staff extremely accomodating and friendly.

| We were assigned to room #201 which was next to Alameda Street. Truck, auto and motorcyle traffic was constant with cars having super loud audio systems and motor cycles seemingly lacking mufflers. The room was clean and attractive except for the bath area. The sink counter space was small and the shower enclosure was uncomfortably sized for a six foot + person such as my self. The hotel is centrally located and it was easy to stroll to all of the major attractions. We were able to walk out all major attractions in one day. We spent 4 days in going through endless shops, museums and histrorical sites. and had to drive only when we went to out of town locations which we did on three of our vacation days. With regards to noise, had we stayed in the Governor's section of the hotel our stay probably would have been better. One other source of displeasure was the the fact that so many people smoked cigarettes and disregarded hotel posted signs "No Smoking within 15 feet of doorways. I was told that comre the end of June 2006 no smoking will be allowed in the restaurant or bar. This will be an improvement if the hotel enforces the ban.
