I had a wonderful stay at this hotel - the bed was extra comfy, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect right in the middle of the French Quarter. In the afternoon, you can hear the live jazz music from the restaurant behind the hotel gently wafting over the wall - a perfect backdrop for lazt napping. Reading the morning paper in the courtyard with the substantial breakfast was lovely. My one complaint about the hotel was that the air conditioner was INCREDIBLY loud. It wasn't a huge issue because the nights were relatively cool for New Orleans in May, but I ended up having to live with it being a little warm rather than be tortured by the air conditioner. I'm sure this is something that could be fixed quite easily, but since I was only there for one night, it didn't seem worth it.

What a great find - thanks Expedia! This Inn was wonderful! From the greeting at the front door by the valet, to the moment we checked out, I was impressed. The Inn is 1/2 block from Bourbon Street but with all of the historic charm and appeal of old New Orleans. My friend and I each had an pleasantly furnished queen room with extremely comfortable beds and high ceilings and -much to our delight - WiFi since we were there on business. I did not hear one sound from the Bourbon Street bars even though we were so close. We enjoyed our complimentary breakfast with wonderful fresh baked croissants in the beautiful courtyard and were joined by a few friendly sparrows. I will definitely be back next time I am in town!

We stayed in a small but charming room over looking Toulouse St. The hotel is in a great location and serves a wonderful continental brekafast with delicious coffee. We chose this hotel because we prefer boutique hotels to the huge, bland tourist places you see in any city. Our big problem was the location of our room. We didn't realize how loud it was going to be, especially at night. We were kept up until 5am every night by partyers from Bourbon Street, a 1/2 block away. I am not a light sleeper and I could not sleep at all. We asked to move rooms but nothing was available. I would only go back if they could guarantee we would have a room off the street. But with so many choices in the french quarter I don't know if I would chance it. What I would go back to is the lovely Bistro attached to the hotel, great wine, service and food, especially the appetizers.

From the moment we rang the bell at the secured entry, we were surrounded by the New Orleans character and charm that lured us to the French Quarter in the first place. Our room overlooked a private court yard and fountain . . . and just beyond the ivy covered brick wall we could see diners revelling at the Court of the Two Sisters. Our room had a huge four poster bed, accompanied by a small wooden step ladder and very nice linens. Although there wasn't much space beyond the bed, the rest of the "antiques" in the room added character. The bath room and complimentary toiletries were very nice and reminded us of hotels in Paris - but the Maison de Ville has plenty of hot water and water pressure. The quarters were a bit smallish but who comes to NOLA to hibernate in their hotel room? We were one block from Bourbon street but were never bothered by excessive noise. The hotel only offers valet parking($27) and while we are not sure where they took our car, it arrived the next day in perfect condition. We recommend this hotel for those who love the French Quarter but who also like to escape the craziness when its time to turn-in. Also, don't miss the hotel bistro - its one of the best features. The wine list and food impressed us.
