It was a great location (next to Sea World, beautiful Mission Bay, etc), and it was comfortable and not expensive. I definitely recommend it.

Hotel is in an ideal location for exploring San Diego--if you have a car. Pool area very clean but small. Wonderful maid service. Breakfast was great--quick, adequate selection--breakfast room is small and hot but adequate for grabbing and going. Parking is an issue at night but there is a large lot next door for parking. Staff very friendly. Microwave and fridge in room was very handy. Ironing board, iron, hair dryer all included. Good value for money. Would stay again but on upper floor-we stayed in ground floor and at times is was a bit noisy.

This is a good budget hotel great for families. The location is a bit strange. However it is safe and it does allow easy access to I5. Balboa Park, Seaworld, the zoo and beaches are in easy driving distance.

This hotel was clean, comfortable, & staff was nice. The issue I had was regarding the location. The hotel is nestled behind some buildings in an asphalt ravine, and wrapped around a small parking lot, with more asphalt. Even the pool & jacuzzi are surrounded by parked cars. If location is not relevant, this hotel will be fine. If you are looking for even a little ambiance, keep looking.

We had two seniors, 1 adult, and an 18yr old and a 17 yr old. We all loved the hotel! The rooms, lobby, and parking areas were incredibly clean. All the employees from front desk, to maids, to pool man were really friendly and helpful. The only thing that would be nice would be more parking but I don't know how that could happen. While we were there 2 bus loads of boy scouts came. We never heard them. In fact, the rooms were really quite. Again, a great bargain and nice place.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 7 days along with our 3 year old and 10 month old. This hotel worked out great for our stay! Fridge and microwave was great for bottles and snacks for the family. We were able to get a crib in our room for the baby at no additonal charge. This way we could sleep at night not worrying if the baby was going to crawl off the bed. Continental breakfast was good. We were able to fill up our thermos with hot water for the day for baby bottles and milk for our 3 year old for the night. Office staff was very friendly and helpful. If traveling with kids I would recommend getting the 3 for 1 pass for the attractions. This way you can have unlimited use of the three main parks for 5 days. We went in the morning, came back to the hotel for naps and went back to the parks in the evening. This hotel is 5 mintues from Seaworld and 10 minutes from the Zoo. It is not a fancy hotel but it was great for us becuase all we did was sleep and eat breakfast there. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to save money by giving up the glitz and the glamour of a fancy bayside hotel and being very close to attractions!

The hotel is less than a mile from the water, but all the rooms around this u-shaped hotel face the pool. Unfortunately, the pool, with its iron gates, is in the center of a large black-top parking lot. Even the few potted plants on the deck wish they were somewhere else. The carpets in the rooms need cleaning. We appreciated the free breakfast of rolls and cereal, but there was not enough space in the dining room (which was a converted hotel room) for all the guests to sit and eat. The hotel was in a retail shopping area with closed buildings and graffiti. It's not a "destination hotel," but it will do for a family who just want a bed at night, and plan to spend the day and evening away from the hotel.

Great location is the best quality--directly across I-5 from beautiful Mission Bay Park. Sea World is very close. Easy access to highway. Service is good, including continental b'fast, served until 10:00. Small but nice pool and hot tub. Downside: no restaurants very close--only a couple of fast food places. You can drive about 3 miles up Clairmont st. to find more.
