| This hotel has all the 'basics' with a reasonalbe price and good location for what I needed to do in Lawrence. But they do have to get those giant pot-holes fixed in the entry and the parking lot.

| Old property, not well kept. Door does not seal tight, lets flies in room. Rates are too high for what you get. Breakfast is dry cereal and a waffel maker, thats it! Pass.

| Main criticisms: The parking lot is in serious need of repaving and I had a little run in with the cleaning staff. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this motel. The room (a single) was very comfortable. I was in town for a job interview and it was 105 degrees, so things like a hair dryer and iron (w/ironing board) were greatly appreciated. I had plenty of room to spread out and work. The room was cool. The TV worked well and had about 60 channels to choose from. The front desk staff was top notch. I had a couple odd problems that a desk worker handled very well (I'd name her if I remembered it). Overall, the Hallmark is a discount motel that performs better than many lodging establishments that charge twice as much. Should I need to return to Lawrence, I'd gladly stay there again.

| IF you are only using this room to sleep, you will be fine. Otherwise, there is not much available. The pool is alright. The room lacked fridge, microwave, or anything extra. So, essentially, it is a basic hotel room, with no frills.

| This motel is conveniently located, but in strong disrepair. The owners seem to be simply extracting money without reinvesting into their business. I had a pregnant spider crawling on the carpet, and the overall condition was poor. I do not recommend this motel unless you have no other choice.

| The room smelled like urine on arrival. The toilet had backed up. The front desk clerk came right away, but the bathroom had not been cleaned. The carpets were dirty and the room needed a good overhaul. We asked for another room, but were told that they were all sold out, which may have been true, but I would not stay there again!

| The motel was run-down and our room was in general need of updating. Everything in the room was extremely worn. We would not go back.

| Hotel was pretty clean and looked nice. The staff was very friendly! The heater in the room was the only problem, it was really hard to find a good temperature. Overall it was a great buy.

| I just needed a place for one night and this did the job. the room was small, one other person than myself needed to be in there and we had trouble moving around the bed. The sink was not in the bathroom which was odd. The room was tidy but was run down. It was what i pretty much what I expected for the amount of money i paid. not to bad though. Good enough if you aren't going to spend to much time in it. the staff wasn't that helpful though, they were teenagers who weren't really interested in helping anyone. they were not mean though.
