| My girlfriend and I stayed at the Amathus Beach Hotel 23 -26 August 2006. Our stay was most enjoyable. The view from the room is breathtaking and absolutely wonderful to have coffee in the morning on the balcony and a cocktail while the sun is setting. The restaurants have very good and friendly service and the food is quite lovely. Although the staff are all very friendly, they are very professional as well. I highly recommend this hotel of a little romantic getaway and we plan on visiting again - soon I hope - as soon as my pocketbook heals a little. It is a bit a pricey but the atmosphere and the time my girlfriend shared made it worth every bit. A hint to the gentlemen who want to be romantic with their mates, call the hotel a few days ahead of arrival and arrange to have a dozen long stem roses and a bottle of champagne in the room for her.
