Features
What to expect: Located in downtown Minneapolis on the tree-lined sidewalks of Nicollet Mall, the Millennium Hotel Minneapolis offers convenient access to commercial districts, dining, nightlife, and cultural activities. Connected to the Minneapolis Convention Center via enclosed skyway, the hotel is also just a 20-minute drive from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. Marshall Fields, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Neiman Marcus are all within blocks of the hotel. Amenity highlights: Guests can walk to prime downtown shopping 3 blocks away either outdoors or through the enclosed-skyway system. A restaurant, concierge, business center, and gift shop are on the lobby level, with a pool and sauna on the lower level. Complete banquet services and 20,000 square feet of meeting space are available. Insider tip: The hotel is across the street from the Loring Greenway path to Loring Park, Minneapolis's "mini Central Park." The pond and perennial gardens are worth a tour, and a footbridge provides access to the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, where visitors can see for themselves the Spoonbridge and Cherry artwork that adorns postcards.
Nic’s on Nicollet - This multi-level restaurant boasts arched windows overlooking Nicollet Mall, a custom-made floor-to-ceiling wine cabinet, and a cherry wood beamed ceiling. An eclectic multi-course menu favors regional comfort foods with a contemporary influence. The international wine selection was developed to complement a “busy” menu or simply entice guests to sample grape varietals previously unfamiliar to the palate. Martini Lounge - Guests can unwind in the contemporary setting of Martini’s Lobby Lounge while indulging in one of the signature martinis, which include Ocean Wave and Very Cherry. Guests can also try one of the innovative appetizers, sit back, and watch the latest world news or sporting event on the 42-inch plasma screens. The lounge is a great place for meeting friends or logging onto the Internet via complimentary high-speed access, which is conveniently located throughout the lounge.

| A parking charge is NOT included in your room rate. I had a superior king and discovered too late there was no hair drier in the bathroom. The decor is very modern and the illuminated countertop in the bathroom made an interesting addition. My view of the roof wasn't spectacular, however. The restaurant was a bit pricey for a hamburger, but it turned out to be worth it & Service was great. Sunday breakfast buffet was limited but good, and again service was attentive. Can't comment on the fitness area or pool as I used neither. It's a nice place to stay and I'll stay there again.

| The Millenium Hotel was nice enough and the staff was very friendly. Also great location dowtown. BUT...the despite the very nicely appointed lobby, the rooms themselves were extremely dated and, for my money, small. They definitely need serious renovation.

| I booked the Millenium Hotel expecting a classy place with high quality rooms. I was unpleastly surprised to find my room run down with very old carpet, a smelly bedspread, non impressive furniture, very complicated television controls and rediculously priced vending machines. I realy expected better from the desciption and was frankly embarrassed to entertain my guest there.

| I travel to Minneapolis at least twice a year on business and I have used Milienium about three times because of it's location and that it was supposed to be this fun new modern hotel. This most recent trip I felt like I was staying at a Motel 6 that got lost in time. the room furnishings in my room this time were really ugly when they used to be kind of kitschy and cool and my breakfast tray was left outside my door for two days. I really hope they get it together or I'm going to have to find a new hotel.

| Wish that they would use softnor for the towels and linens. Towels were very rough and scratchy. Loved the lighted magnified mirror in the bathroom.

| The hotel was in a great location in downtown Minneapolis. It is located right on the Nicollet Mall. The hotel was fine. I didn't like having to pay for parking and sometimes it was hard to find a parking place.

| My two young daughters and I went for a girls weekend and we had a blast. We arrived 5 hours before check in time. The staff was very accomodating and checked us into a very nice room. My daughters were both given gift bags loaded with healthy snacks, stickers, and passes for free meals in the hotel restaurant, as well as free kiddie cocktails in the lounge, which we took advantage of after a long day of shopping on Nicollet Mall. The pool was very old, but clean and refreshing, and perfect for my girls to swim in. No whirlpool, only a sauna. The bathroom in our room was so poorly lit that we had to put our makeup on by the huge window in our room. Otherwise, the hotel was super. Great location, we walked to the Walker Art Musuem, Sculpture Gardens, all around Nicollet Mall and attended Mass at St. Marys Basillica. One evening we stayed in watching movies and eating pizza in the huge, very comfortable beds. I would definitely stay here again.

| Choose the hotel because of a special they were offering. I felt as though the service was good but not great. I did not get a room with a king size bed as I reserved. The shuttle service to and from the airport was $13 each way. This extra expense caught me off guard.

| The front desk and bell hops were extremely polite and helpful. They couldn't have done more for me. The rooms are very dated and really need to be refurbished. The air conditioning did not work too well and I can't recall the last time I was in a hotel room with a dehumidifier. The room was basically clean, but there was trash and crumbs from past guests in the corners. I was also woken up at 7:30am on the day of check out by, what looked like a housekeeping supervisor, to find out what time I was checking out that day. She wouldn't take "come back later" for an answer. Not a very good lasting impression to have. But the lobby and other personnel were wonderful.

| Hotel is located in a nice and quiet area and parking your car is easy with plenty of free spaces. Not a handicapped friendly layout. Quality of food is very good and the staff tries to be professional but they miss the mark. Late night check-in is a challenge. The front desk staff did their best to accomodate me. At first I was told that no rooms were available but since I had reserved with Expedia a room became available!
