Features
What to expect: Shoppers, business travelers, and vacationers appreciate this location close to Fashion Island, several business parks, Balboa Island, and Newport Beach.
Please note: The hotel is currently undergoing a $65 million renovation and a transition from an established lodging for business and leisure travelers to a resort and spa. Completion is slated for December 2005. Considerable construction noise should be expected during the day. During renovations, the hotel will offer a complimentary Continental breakfast and complimentary valet parking. Other renovation-related changes: The front desk has been moved to a temporary location. The business center, ballroom, meeting areas, exhibit space, restaurant, lounge, pool, patio, spa tub, and on-site shops are closed during renovations. A small, temporary business center is available on the conference level. The hotel is providing complimentary shuttle service to pools at nearby hotels. In-room dining is available through a dinner-delivery service. A fully operational fitness center with new equipment is available during renovation, along with eight tennis courts. A new, full-service spa will open around December 2005.
Amenity highlights: This two-tower hotel offers ample meeting and banquet space indoors and out, as well as expansive views of an adjacent private golf course, Newport Harbor, and the Pacific Ocean. The rose garden is a popular choice for celebrating couples. Eight tennis courts are on site (surcharge), along with two outdoor pools—one freeform with an adjacent bar and another that’s tucked away and quiet.
Insider tip: Straight down Jamboree Road is the seaport village of Balboa Island, where sweet (and pricey) houses in varying architectural styles are set like gems on streets with names such as Opal, Topaz, and Ruby avenues. A public walkway along the bay offers vistas of bobbing motor boats, towering palms, and a small ferris wheel across the water. A narrow street leads to the ferry.
JW’s California Cuisine - This lobby-level restaurant serves tasty American fare in a casual atmosphere for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Please note: The restaurant is closed during renovations, which are scheduled to be completed in December 2005. During renovations, the hotel is offering complimentary Continental breakfast. In-room dining is available through dinner-delivery service.

| I went on this trip for R&R the spa was wonderful and the hotel was comfortable. I was disappointed on the location. The website led me to believe it was closer to the beach. The beach is 2 miles away, $6-8.00 cab fee. The hotel does have a Hertxz dewsk there to rent a car to get around also. I had a wonderful stay I was treated like a queen. I would ddfinitley go back. I was so convienent very close to John Wayne Airport. Easy tyo get in and out.

| The hotel staff was so kind and so accomodating. I was really impressed with that. The hotel beds were very comfortable. We had a very long wait for no apparent reason at the restaurant but the wait staff was apologetic. That was really the only negative to an otherwise fantastic stay.

| Direct ocean view room, amazing experience. View was breath taking and the cleanliness and quality was outstanding. Has a spa on the bottom floor that my wife says was the most relaxing, comfortable, pampering time ever. She tried a massage and a facial. All around excellent hotel. Can't think of a single complaint. The pool was superb too. Tiki bar right by the pool. They make a great Mai-Tai.

The room was clean and very well designed. The pools and ocean veiw are among the best items to make mention of. And on a last note, the employees were great and very helpful.
