| Beautiful lobby with a strong water theme that was calming and relaxing in the heat and hustle-bustle of the city. The lobby served lemon and cucumber ice water (surprisingly refreshing) that added to the peaceful atmosphere. I generally find hotels to be uninvolving, but I loved this hotel. Great views of the city and the river, I just wish it was a block closer to the Magnificent Mile -- on the other hand, it was also nice to be a little removed from all of the traffic in that area.

| The staff was extraordinarily considerate and attentive, even during the holiday season when they are quite busy. We had a wonderful time. It was my 11 year old niece's birthday and the consideration of the hotel really made the overnight stay memorable for her and for us.

| This hotel is supposed to reflect a Four Star status. Once upon atime it justly merited that status. However, the physical accomandations have gradually deteriorated over the past 3 to 5 years. Furniture is lacking in certain rooms. I had a couch in my room but no coffee table. What's up with that? The staff does not make efforts to give adequate size space for the number of people staying in a room. It seems the Hotel cannot find Bellmen to take baggage to rooms. It seems like it has become more than a motel than a hotel. Definitely looking for other quarters on my next trip.

| Very nice hotel in the center of Chicago--close to all the great shopping and arts district. A little pricey, but the central location is worth it--you can walk almost anywhere.
