| We stayed at this hotel while visiting family. The first day maid service did not service the room at all. When we called the front desk to complain and ask that at least some fresh towels be delivered, the person said they would personally take care of it. No one showed up that night. The next day, we did get maid service and it was very well done. They switched to sleep number beds while we were there. The switch over was smooth. The decor is pleasant and updated, but there is a lingering odor of cigarette smoke in a smoke free room. The air conditioning is a window unit which is noisy and impossible to moderate, the temperature dial does not seem to work. It was quiet, you can hear the planes but there are very few at the time of our stay. The pool looked very nice but we did not use it. We did not try the restaurant or room service as we weren't there much and the restaurant seemed to have very limited hours. I ran across the street once to McDonalds for a quick drive-thru burger.

| I was just looking for a place to stay for one night near the airport so we would be able to drive to New Orleans the afternoon before instead of very early in the morning to make our flight. This hotel exceeded my expectations--for such a reasonably priced hotel it was quite nice--it seemed like a more expensive hotel than it was.

| One humorous aspect of my stay at the New Orleans Airport Plaza is that they actually answer the phone by giving the name of the hotel and then adding, "Soon to be a Radisson!" The location is convenient to New Orleans International Airport, roughly a mile, and Interstate 10 and it was easy to find. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I needed directions to downtown New Orleans, which is about 13 miles on I-10, and the desk clerk was able to provide accurate instructions. The parking lot behind the hotel is somewhat small but was able to accommodate all of the cars on the nights that I was there without any problem. They have a restaurant and coffee bar on the property. While they looked pleasant and inviting I did not eat there. There are a good number of fast food (McDonalds, Burger King, Sonic) and moderate (Chinese, Pizza) restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. Wine, beer and liquor is available everywhere in New Orleans, even at the gas stations. The New Orleans Airport Plaza is pleasant and reasonably priced hotel. I would recommend it if you're going to the "Big Easy".

| This hotel is located in Kenner near the airport, about 10 miles away from the French Quarter. You can usually get a good deal here, but expect prices to rise as it becomes a Radisson again. They are now doing millions of dollars of renovations. Hopefully, they will have more amenities at the hotel. 24-hour room service or at least a snack/deli bar that was open all night would be nice. It is just a basic no-frills hotel, but soon it'll probably still be basic, but higher-priced. They still charge for local calls, too, if you can believe that.
