Booked a one-bed room with 3 beds. But only get 2 beds suite. We have to have a rollover. The quality of the rollover is very poor and my back is still hurting 3 days after my stay. The front desk person was not very helpful.

We stayed 3 nights in an apartment. We were able to sleep all 6 of us comfortably; however, when you open up the sofa bed you have to crawl over it to get out of the door. Having 2 TVs and 2 full bathrooms were essential and appreciated. A full size fridge was great too. I baked cookies in the regular size oven. Very helpful staff in guiding us to nearby Flower Fields Mall (great place!), Fidel's Mexican Food in Old Carlsbad, delicious and only 5 minutes away, and to more shopping to the south of town about 15 minutes. Sea World is only 30 minutes away, an easy drive.

Suite, two rooms but only one has AC. With outside temperatures close to 100 it was one very cold room and one steem room. We had 4 people reservaton, got into suite with one queen and the couch, the couch was very uncomfortable and there was nto enough room to even set it up. The staff is nice and trying, but some things just cannot be overcome.

The stay was very enjoyable. The rooms are small but well kept. Housekeeping was good, but was done rather late in the day. The buffet breakfast was good, but times were not very good for summer time. They need to last a little longer. Some variety on the buffet would have been nice as well as some sort of meat. Not everyone likes their eggs cooked with cheese. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rates were excellent for the amount of time we were there.

3RD floor room facing the freeway. Traffic noise so loud you never heard the TV blaring in the next room. Couldn't sleep. Disturbed by Hotel Staff. Maintnance personel wanting to fix light fixtures at 9:00 AM on Sat. morning. We never called them. No "Do Not Distub" signs were provided for the room. The front desks staff were very nice, actually everyone was very nice.

This place is OK. I knew to ask for a room away from the freeway and even then the noise was still audible. My biggest disappointment was that we had booked a 2 room suite on Expedia but when we arrived to check in at 4 PM our room was not ready. The clerk very kindly offered up two rooms - a one bedroom suite and a studio. It put me in a pickle though because we were eager to check in and get to the beach but we didn't want to have to repack and move to a different room later. The entire stay I was shuttling between the two rooms to look after my children. The one room suite was very small, the bedroom door does not close between rooms and the sofabed in living area when folded out hit the TV set leaving no room to walk around. Also, I believe the two BR suite has a full kitchen and our one bedroom suite had only a microwave and minifridge. Another downside is that the beds are really not comfortable. The positives are the free breakfast and convenient location to beach. Breakfast included waffle, cheese omelette and biscuits/gravy + cereal, danish, etc. Location is a 15 min walk to beach which was super convenient. There is no easy parking at the local beach. Third, a major drugstore and grocery chain are located a couple of blocks away for any emergencies. Carlsbad village is a 5-10 min drive and I highly recommend the Harbor Fish place located beachfront - it is casual w/ meals $7-15 w/ large portions and the food is super fresh and delicious.

The hotel is in a great location and we would definitely stay there since we needed a family suite and they have them. However, the continental breakfast had far too many people at it and it seemed like the staff could not keep up. The lines were long and much of the food was out of stock. No one was telling us if more was coming - they were just hustling to catch up. It didn't look like an incredible continental had there been food there anyway.

I thought the hotel was nice. It was very clean inside the room, and the grounds and pool were nicely maintained. The breakfast was good, although if you go late, it is really busy. Great location for families, close to shopping center and restraunts. If you get a room on the freeway side, can be noisy-just don't open windows!

You do pretty well for your money, but am sure you could do better. When we got to our room, the light operated by the switch by the door was burnt. We reported it and it was never replaced in our two nights stay. The second day, we were given fresh bath towels, but no face towels or washcloths. We called the front desk and requested them and we never got them. You get a pretty good breakfast. Pool has a lot of mold around the edges, but nice grounds around the pool and spa. Front desk was always busy and we needed to wait to be helped.

This was our second visit to this hotel. This visit they were booked which made it time consumiing when wading through all the people at the contiental breakfast. Our room was missing a few items but the hotel staff quickly brought them up each time we called. When they say they have a two queen bed room they mean one queen bed in the bed room and the couch in the other room opens out into the second queen bed. The actual queen bed was incredible comfortable. Request a room not facing freeway as the traffic can be loud. pool comes stocked with beach balls and foam noodles for kids. hot tub was big.
